HIGH TIMES Announces Official 420 Party & 2009 Miss HIGH TIMES Pageant in NYC

What started out as a secret stoner code has now become a worldwide counterculture phenomenon. We're speaking of course about 420—a number that has come to symbolize the stoner lifestyle almost as much as HIGH TIMES itself. For nearly a decade now, marijuana smokers everywhere gather each year on April 20th (4/20) to show their love for this benevolent herb. And what better way could there be to ring in "stoner new year" than with the world's greatest marijuana magazine?

This April, come join the staff of HIGH TIMES and some of the hottest ganja gals in America as we  celebrate this high holiday with music, drinks and giveaways, and crown our sexy new "smokesmodel" at the first ever Official HIGH TIMES 420 Party—featuring the 2009 Miss HIGH TIMES Pageant!

Six foxy finalists will be flown to NY to attend a private meet-and-greet at the HIGH TIMES offices, then travel to a secret location for this smokin' special event. There, they will compete for the coveted cannabis crown in three categories: swimsuit, talent, and personality. Boston's alternative rockers Prospect Hill and other special guests will entertain the crowd between rounds, and we'll have a panel of expert celebrity judges on hand to help us narrow down the competition. The lucky winner will then star in her own professional HIGH TIMES photo shoot, as well as winning a free trip to the 22nd Annual Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam this November and numerous other prizes.

When it's finished, contestants will be able to create and edit fuller profiles that will allow them to upload images, blogs, and even videos whenever they wish, and enable them to interact with us and the devoted Miss HIGH TIMES fans in a simpler, more fun fashion.
