Fresh off the smoking hot 4/20 release of his debut album, Asleep in the Bread Aisle, college-lover Asher Roth spent a little quality time with his favorite periodical, inviting the HIGH TIMES film crew to a private shindig held at an undisclosed location overlooking the bright lights of New York City.

“Smoking marijuana brings me back down to Earth,” Asher tells HIGH TIMES Senior Cultivation Editor Danny Danko, after complimenting him on the local produce of the Baked Apple. “Some people think pot hinders your thoughts, but for me, it just kind of straightens me out.”

Since releasing his hit single “I Love College,” Roth’s been soaring to new heights as his party anthem became the official “torch song” of Spring Break 2009. Don’t worry though, Asher tells us he’s smoking plenty of potent Kush to keep his head straight.

This guy sucks. He doesn't play an instrument, he can't sing, and he can't even rap. All this gimmick is is some record company trying to cash in on the college stereotype of endless beer pong, blunts, and women with a marketable face on it. If all you like in music is a sub par Animal House soundtrack you'll love this. But for any non frat boy who likes some substance and inspiration, I think you would agree that this clown embodies what is wrong with the modern music industry. Can anyone say: ONE HIT WONDER?
