Guacamole has become a Super Bowl classic, and this year, when you invite over your stoner circle to watch the big game, dig in to this highly enhanced treat! A simple recipe from our forthcoming book, The Official High Times Cannabis Cookbook, this guacamole pairs perfectly with all the super bowls you'll be smoking this Sunday. Our smooth, creamy dip has a secret ingredient (ganja) that will keep you chillin' way past the last touchdown. We recommend serving this guacamole with chips and carrot sticks, as well as roasted cauliflower florets. It's great with burritos, chili or quesadillas for a spicy snack that will provide a relaxing finish to an exciting day of football!

The Apollo Project at World Financial Center, Winter Garden
Sat Jan 7, 2012
By Jen Bernstein
The 2012 New York Guitar Festival kicked off Friday evening at the Winter Garden Atrium in the World Financial Center by celebrating 30 years of Brian Eno's album, Apollo: Atmosphere and Soundtracks. The Apollo Project featured an all-star lineup - Mike Gordon (bass) Larry Campbell (guitar) David Torn, Noveller, Jeff Parker and ambient ensemble itsnotyouitsme - playing the album LIVE for the first time ever.
A tribute to NASA's Moon landings, Eno's album imagines very ethereal, peaceful-yet-haunting, moving, and spacey (literally!) sounds and soundscapes. Eno wanted the music to induce a feeling of “weightlessness,” and so there's no way a note-for-note replication of these highly complicated tracks could be created. Though, if any band could come close …READ MORE

Mon Dec 19, 2011
By Haley Roll
Ever since 2002 the University of Central Florida in Orlando has boasted the largest chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) in the nation. My name is Haley Roll and I am a junior at UCF majoring in Communications. Ever since I learned about NORML – in high school – I’ve wanted to be a part of it. At the beginning of the fall semester, even though it was only my third meeting, I gave a speech asking for votes to be Director of Public Relations. I don’t think I would have been able to pull it off if I wasn’t so passionate about NORML and what it stands for. I am now happy to announce that I’ve been elected DPR and I can’t explain how privileged I feel.
Last year NORML UCF had 70 paying members and this year we have exceeded that number and we’re still growing. This past semester has …READ MORE

Know The Deal - Top 5 Baked Breakfasts
Fri Dec 16, 2011
Here are my personal favorites.
1. Breakfast Burrito – The breakfast burrito is efficient and spot on. There is little need for a container or even silverware. It is bacon, eggs, and cheese rolled into a big fat food joint. Word.
2. Salmon – AKA “what grizzly bears eat.” Yes it is expensive, but feeling like a grizzly bear is priceless. Salmon is also packed with Omega-3, which is good for your brains. Just beware of zombies staring at your head too long.
3. Biscuits and Gravy – Biscuits and gravy is comfort food that goes great with naps. Sometimes seizing the day can wait, let’s get some biscuits and grab a pillow.
4. Make-Your-Own-Omelets – Omelets are taco shells made of eggs, put whatever you want in there, spinach, tomatoes …READ MORE

A Day In The Life – Megan E. LaBonte
Thu Nov 17, 2011
By Rick Cusick
Associate Publisher, HIGH TIMES MagazineNorthampton, Massachusetts’s multi-media artist Megan E. LaBonte spent the last eight months snapping daily self-portraits and digitally manipulating the images to create a series of photographs collectively called the 366 Project. Although much of her work focused on the recurring themes of femininity, mythology, fantasy and nature, on April 20, 2011 Megan took a side step into our world and produced a stoner self-portrait (see below) that expressed her respect for our favorite pastime.
“When I first started this project I had no idea the deep impact it would have on me, and even those around me,” Megan said. “I’ve experienced days of creative frustration and physically challenged myself building sets and costumes or learning to create and hold poses. There were days when I just didn’t feel …READ MORE
