There are many artists clamoring for the now-vacant title of Hardest Working Man in Show Business, but my vote goes unquestionably to Hank Williams III. The reason is simple: I've never seen another performer play three completely different (yet equally raucous) sets without taking a break in between. So when his tour pulled in to Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg on the eve of my birthday, I knew I had to be there.

MY FIRST BLOG

Hello Soldiers,

We have news from the front! The battle for Coney Island was a rounding success!

The day started at Green Army NY headquarters in Bayside, Queens with battle preparation. As we laid the groundwork for our fight, there were rumblings amongst the troops of defeat. It was a rainy day and morale was low. But, after the preparations were complete, we shouldered our worries along with our supplies and loaded up the USS Explorer. With the ship prepped and loaded, we headed out for our first combat operation.

The USS Explorer got us close, but we had to switch transport modes, so as not to miss the opening shots of the battle. We transferred to the Q train and rode it into the battle. College Humor Flakes out. Bonghitters take it out on "Parkies"

The Bonghitters third game was supposed to be against College Humor in a nonleague affair. Unfortunately, they chose not to show. Was it a joke? Maybe they are weather wimps (it had threatened to rain but ended up being a gorgeous evening) or maybe they heard about our legendary prowess and didn’t want to get their butts kicked.

So there we were on the Great Lawn with a field to play on and no team to play against. We decided to have a split squad game “Team A” vs. “Not Team A” the victory going to Team A, 8-4. This was fun, but we like playing other teams so we went in search of some “Parkies” to challenge. “Parkies” are people who play pickup softball in Central Park and assemble random players for a team. This time the “Parkies” came in the form of a team of lawyers from the firm Dewey, Cheatum and Howe (maybe not their real name). We were all impressed with the badass chick playing third base. I find it strange that girl and guys bikes are different. If I had to honestly choose, I’d ride the one without the nut crunching bar. Walking is more my speed, until it turns into a run, after that.. fuck it. Power walking is like walking, but you swing your arms as if you were running and your lower half takes in the sights. My penis does love classic architecture. You can enjoy the sights, but you can’t take back time. Time just goes through you, power walking into the horizon. The second game on the Bonghitters schedule was against our old friends, the “Veefers” from Vanity Fair. On a sunny but slightly chilly evening our heroes continued their quest to recapture the NYMSL crown after losing it in last year’s championship game.

The Bonghitters scattered several hits in the early innings, but did not manage any runs.

Morning radio for stoners!

Stoner comedy has a long and glorious history. Cheech and Chong are obviously legends, and not just in the stoner world. Guys like Doug Benson continue the tradtition.

And there is stoner radio: Marijuana Radio, John Doe Radio, and The Stone Zone Show come to my currently baked mind. But to my knowledge there is no live morning radio show for stoners.

When stoners wake and bake, they don't want to do a whole lot of stuff. But what stoner doesn't enjoy getting baked and listening to stoner comedy on the radio? Well, internet radio, have you heard the crapfest on regular radio? The only radio I listen to anymore is on the net.
