Conservative Cannabis Activist Calls for Compassion

The tide is changing politically and more conservatives are recognizing the failed drug war must end. As a Republican, and a mother of two, I have joined those compassionate supporters of common sense drug policy. Republican Senator Baroni supports the NJ Medical Marijuana Compassionate Use Act. For Senator Baroni, it was the personal stories of patients that caused him deviate from his traditional Republican role of conservatism and just do what he knew was right. He was incredible on the Senate Floor the day the bill passed the Senate because he clearly felt compassion toward these patients that have found marijuana eases their pain and daily suffering. There are more and more Republicans standing up nationally recognizing that the marijuana laws must change. Sunday Morning!

When I can, I like to have my friends over and let them play me some records.  I have been partying with a local Los Angeles group called "The Hawt Crew" . I love to cook for them and they love to play records and dance. I have been making this dish since I first had it in Tijuana.  I added some medicated agave to this recipe so the medical patients can enjoy!

BBQing at the House!

When I'm home, I always end up cooking. I guess it is just my way of relaxing.  I'm sure alot of you think that is crazy!  I'm sure that a hot grill and hours of man power sound like a job more than a good time to most of you.  I was raised on large cook outs with the entire family.  Everyone in the neighborhood, family or not, would come and enjoy.  I have a  recipe that will make any bbq sunday a medicated one! You can go to the show to see how to medicate your agave nectar.

2 slabs ribs (pork will do best)

Basic BBQ Rub*

2 Onions

2 whole garlic bulbs

3 Cups Soy sauce

2 Cups Chicken stock

3 T Curry Powder

1 can Coconut Mlik

1 Large Bottle your favorite BBQ sauce.

1 Can Chipolte peppers in adobo

1 T medicated Agave Nectar person

1/4 cup Agave nectar

Leidseplein can be reached via trams 1, 2 and 5 (about 10 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station) and lines 6, 7 and 10 (about 7 minutes from the metro station Weesperplein). The bus routes 170, 171, 172 and the late-night busses 72, 73, 74 and 78 also stop at Leidseplein.

Students Speak at Massachusetts Legislative Hearings on Legalizing Marijuana

The golden dome of the Massachusetts State House shone like a beacon of truth in a fair blue sky for five Emerson Students for Sensible Drug Policy members on a sunny Wednesday, October 14. We followed the glowing orb all the way into basement courtroom B2, location of the legislative hearing before the Joint Committee on Revenue for Bill H2929, a proposal to legalize marijuana as public policy.

We left our school on the corner of Tremont and Boylston at busy 9 A.M., walking through Boston Common. We stopped at the infamous “freedom” monument to suck down three quick jibs, then giddie-upped the street to the State House, where we passed through security with ease, received thoughtful directions from officers to find the hearing room, got Minute Man pot leaf stickers from Steve Epstein and Mass Cann, and finally sat down, taking up an entire bench in a standing-room only hearing hall packed with mostly students. After a great Halloween it's time to recover and medicate.

A recipe for a relaxing day!

I had a wonderful Halloween, I have been going to various events promoting the show and the merits of cannabis.  I attended Halloween OC, a large scale music event that my friends have been putting on for years.   They have upgraded this year and used the Orange County Fair grounds in Costa Mesa, CA.

I took the cameras and let the night take us away.  I'll be putting footage up as soon as our man is done editing it.   I am giving you a dish I made to heal us up from a long night.  I'm not sure about you, but when I'm feeling warn out, meat and cheese do me just right.  I know it isn't that healthy, but it was Halloween you can cheat a little.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday, and nothing makes me happier than spending it in New York City, where there's always so much to do and everyone gets really into the costumed revelry. This year's plans include a stop by the Village Halloween Parade (an annual tradition), a party ominously titled Abaddon that's set to feature live blood wrestling, and an attempt to cramp into Vice's blowout anniversary party in Williamsburg.

When's the best day to arrive at the Cannabis Cup?

Hey,
Me and my guy wanted to get some advice for coming out to Amsterdam. We were really trying to make it out for the Cup this year however some things with school came up, but we're still dead on making it out there. When is it better to be out there, the weekend before or after?

ANSWER: The best time to arrive at the Cannabis Cup is Friday, Nov. 20th, or Saturday Nov. 21st, the week-end before the event officially starts on Sunday. That way you get a jump on the coffeeshop crawl and get registered before the lines develop.

Kicking off a citywide initiative the right way

Monday October 19th, 2009 was the official kickoff to NORML New Jersey’s ballot initiative in New Brunswick. As NORML NJ’s Ballot Initiative Coordinator this was particularly exciting since it is the first municipality besides my hometown where we will be canvassing for signatures. 

These petitions will put a law on the 2010 electoral ballot to make adult personal marijuana offenses the lowest law enforcement priority. The law would also mandate that the municipality release a report that would include, along with many other details, estimates of money and time spent on adult marijuana offenses.
