Concert Review: Pretty Lights

This past weekend Colorado's own Pretty Lights (comprised of producer Derek Vincent Smith and drummer Cory Eberhard) sold out three jam-packed nights of high energy, visually stimulating shows in their home state.
Out supporting the release of their new album, Passing By Behind Your Eyes (released 10.06.09), Smith and Eberhard kicked off a month-long tour at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, playing to an energetic crowd of college students. The duo wrapped up the weekend in front of a capacity crowd at Denver’s Ogden Theatre, where people out front were offering up to $150 for a ticket ($20 face value) – a testament to how fast this young producer is making his mark.
Touring constantly, and hitting up most of the major music festivals, it is no surprise that Pretty Lights is becoming more popular than ever. They treat their audiences to an intense, organic sound that grabs the crowd’s attention and never lets go, thanks in part to their musical versatility.
Look for more from Pretty Lights in an exclusive upcoming HIGH TIMES interview, and keep a lookout for them at a venue near you. They won’t disappoint.
