Photo Update I.

Ok, so I've been partially super busy and partially super stoned and totally behind on my bloggin'
Here's some eye candy: An update of the ladies' growth in the BC Northern Lights Producer...
If you remember, this is where we were a couple weeks ago when the box was broken then fixed:
The little one in the back on the left didn't make it. Well, she may have, except she'd gotten quite moldy and I figured it'd be better for the crop to kill her off.
My beans of unknown strains have sprouted and started to ascend.
The lil ones have also shown a bit of florescent green mold gathering at the base of the stems on the Growdak cube, most likely due to them being so small, hence drinking/needing less fluid than the other plants and I'd put the moisture sensor in one of the runts. (I figured these were the happy middle between the oldest and newest of the ladies)
Anyway, I removed the water lines from the moldy babies and let them dry out for the mold to also dry/die out, and that solved the problem.
A week later, the ladies were looking healthy & beautiful. The yellow leaf/black spots issue seems to have gone away with the infusion of new nutes.
When the tallest of the bunch reached 16", I flipped to flower (2/17/10). That was a week ago & I also gave Week 1 Flower nutes, as per BC Producer grow manual. I'd also read up a little on the Chemdog strain and saw somewhere that they do well with topping, well into flowering. So, a few days after I flipped to flower, I did some landscaping and chopped the tops off most of the large ladies and I can already see where the colas will form.
And as of 3 days ago, here's what the ladies look like...
And also one of the beans...
So far so good with the 3 unknowns, no balls yet!! I've got 7 really beautiful ladies, 5 runty but healthy girls, and 3 hopefully female toddlers all flipped and feeding on sum Advanced Nutrients. We're on Week 2 flower nutes.
Stay tuned for another photo blog update, next time as they flower! WooHoo!

hey thanks for the tip on mold, dahcwon, i actually have cube cover thingies too. definitely will try that if future mold arises.
as for smell, well, that's arguable. when the box is closed, for the most part it's odorless, but now that we're in full flower my room smells awfully garden-y!
however, i have been opening it too. if it's closed, and a stick of incense lit, seems to be ok so far.
look for another photo update soon, they look so different now!
