4/9/10 Photos:  The Day Before Harvest

My harvest started & finished a little earlier for personal reasons

but I'm pretty happy with the results and am optimistic about a better

grow for cycle 2, given that I get the right bulb for the middle socket

and possibly hook up the C02 tank this time?

The total of actual plants cut down ended up being five large (2'5"),

three one-cola stalks (the straight from seed to flower plants), and four

smaller sized clones (18") - two of which were near-dead when I got

around to chopping them.

Based on my calculations (of what I've given away / smoked) I estimate

the yield to be about 290grams (10.5oz) of bud.  Plus, we got a nice

batch a butter out of the trim.  Of course, this guessestimates the actual

amount of unabashed, unweighed and unaccounted for tokage.

I think that's a VERY decent yield considering I had 5 empty slots

for plants, a missing (and probably HUGELY differentiating) bulb,

and some initial cycle/technical problems.

Now for the REAL question... how did the buds taste??

Answer:  Freaking AWESOME!

The first two plants I chopped on 4/10 or so were nearly dried

on the stem before I cut them.  Those buds were less good,

a lot of burnt parts.  (Those were on the left side - the side I

didn't "top off" and manicure as much)

Next I cut the rest a few days later, and after a few days drying,

then a few days curing in glass jars, etc.  Plus, at one point they

were smelling really funky in the jars so I laid them all out in a

giant cardboard box to dry and a few hours later they were

smelling mighty fine!

To illustrate just how good the Chem Dog (the clones) really was/is,

my friend actually traded me for some wonderful Strawberry Cough,

which I've grown to love, and came back TWICE to do so!  Because his friends liked my chem!

Also, the three straight-from-seed colas were some of the sweetest

smelling, tasting, and stone-bringing nugs of the bunch.  Unfortunately,

I had no answer to give the many times I was asked "What strain is this?"

inline

That's all I've got for this grow!  I'm waiting for new clones, popping

some unknowns on my porch, and going to see about that bulb for Round 2.

For now, over & out - stayed tuned...  sorry for such a long hiatus,

but dude, I'M A STONAH!!!

PEACE!

I wouldn't attribute the yield to The Producer so much though: the equipment just makes the plants reach their respective maximum potentials given the conditions.

Some strains yield lots, some don't... had you grown genes that code for smaller yields, then The Producer would produce those smaller yields (albeit quickly).

You grew pedigree strains which have been selected for big yields.

I'm sure The Producer does its job well!
