Cup Well Worth the Price

Hey I bet I know who the person is that you are talking about (that has his own competing cup). This guy actually gave a cup to one of his ex girl friends and she is selling seeds on his site. Very corrupt situation.

Funny. I went to the cup. The 1st 200 judges were only let into certain musical acts at the melkweg and some bands were not included. The free shuttles were always so crowded and hard to find most people dont even take them. The grow seminar was worthless with no usable information from either Arjan or THseeds guys. I never rubbed shoulders with pot stars unless you call Bobby Black a third rate hack in a 2 size to small girls tshirt and the fat pig who calls himself pot star "pot stars". I got to see Soma and Simon only if I wanted to buy seeds from them.
The cup is a bogus rip-off but why do you care so much about what you claim is one person only? Why does this person strike such a chord that you have to hype to sell the cup? The facebook and myspace lonely people who would rather spend thanksgiving making you rich then celebrating a homegrown bud of a HiLife winning strain with their family and loved ones are always enough to make you happy! 2000 people for a magazine like high times is sad and pathetic, kind of like the fat unwashed losers who go there year after year!
And what kind of lowdown, bad karma having hating are YOU into Steven, dissing Oaksterdam for your money making ponzi scheme. Oaksterdam is in the front lines while you guys are the exploiters of the movement! Or have you forgotten what YOU, Steve Hager said about appearing in High Times magazine! And to me, that white kid newbie lightweight with the racist big afro wig, the castaway who went to Amsterdam and quit smoking, THAT is the typical loser you attract and you deserve! So fret not! The great Cannabis Cup swindle WILL continue, even though well respected people like Nol have said it shouldn't! In fact, you Steve Hager have such disdain and distrust for your judges that you won't let Nol's Haarlem coffeeshops enter cause judges wont venture from Centrum, let alone go to Haarlem! The Grow seminars are STUPID and offer very little info. Soma had a good seminar in 2000 did a speech in 01 and repeated his schtick from then, Zero information, In fact the LAST seminar that had ANY info was when Positronics was around.

The funniest thing was when they used to give away a half a gram at 4:20 IF you followed their rules (paper or pipe ready) and acted like an animal and fought and clawed your way to the front of the line FAST enough before they ran out!
Truth is the cannabis cup is WORTH the MONEY to Stevie Hager who screws the coffeeshops, screws the seed companies, and screws the judges! DONT believe the HYPE!

Why don't we NEVER find the detailed RULES for attending The Cup AS COMPETITORS? How do we make proof of strains originality? Should we attend (compete) only like simple citizens, or we HAVE to be represented by some (hm...) seed company? How do we REGISTER as COMPETITORS in this event? How much of each strain (seeds and/or buds) should we bring? etc That's why some people doubt the integrity of this wonderful event... I'm from Eastern Europe and I remember when the communists "kept us in darkness" just for them to have all the cards and no competition.

I Leave The 20th will arrive the 21st and I cannot wait. This is our 6th cup and we always have a great time. I have been to Amsterdam 20 times since 1996 and any time you go is great, but the cup is the best. It may be a little more expensive this time of year but it is well worth the cost.
I can't understand why these negative people are on this site, If they have an issue with all the euros the cup brings to their economy I don't understand. they should ask the hotel staff, shop and restaurant owners if the euros we spend are as good as all the other tourists that visit their great city.

The expo is awesome, and only happens once a year.

The great Sponsor greenhouse or barneys will win the cup, and the dutch smokers society is counting much more for the real winners, which you will not find in this american cuo, sorry, even the "immitation" cup Steve Hager is talking about is much more serious as your kindergarten.

No, basically what they are saying is if you are a medical patient and are legal in the state of California to possess and smoke medical marijuana that you can participate.

And, the prices are half that of yours, and there are MUCH better strains, a much more variety. Amsterdam pot is total crap in my honest experience.

Going to Oaksterdam is completely optional. High Times makes cali med patients look bad, when truly the feminized seed scammers are really who's evil here. Wake up and smell the CHRONIC high times.

This will be cup #6 for me and I can say it gets better every year! Besides all the coffeeshops,concerts,hott boxx party,Greenhouse party, Barney's party, fashion show, seminars etc. etc. just the experience of being in Amsterdam,an awesome city makes the Cup a F#@$&*% Killer trip.I miss the old Pax Party House but I am getting use to the Power Zone which works out better for the crowds that come now and is more conveinate than the Sugar Factory was. And the Melk Weg is great as always. And I'd like to Thank Mr. Hager for letting us all in on his creation. Thank You!

The music lineup is always great. It is a good place to meet like minded people all in one place for one idea.
The only people who would have any thing bad to say about it probably have either never attended or have other agenda. I have been quite a few times and any time in the great city of Amsterdam is a good time.

I don't know how anyone could rag on a concert line up like the one the Cup puts on - this will be my first Cup trip, but its been a year in the making just based on the previous musical acts that showed up and rocked out in the past... Those shows alone are well worth the price of admission. Who wants to raise a spliff and rock out to being a Jedi?! see you lot in Amsterdam.

The Cup is the experience each stoner should visit at least once in their life. To see and learn more about ganga in a 5 day period than you could in a year, meet the breeders and of course taste the wares, to have a variety of strains in front of you should make you aware:Yes it is worth it. Thank you Steve and thanks Sexy Stoner for being the search engine for us. This will be my third Cup and everyone bailed on me after I got a 3 story apartment right in the heart of Amsterdam. So I'll be flying solo with huge digs 75 foot from Barney's Farm and 5 minute walk to Central Station. Might be looking for clean roomies to help with the cost. The top floor has shower and jazzuii. I have two more bedrooms with two beds in each room. I'm hardly ever there I carve with a chainsaw 40 KM outside of the city and have other things to do in Biringham , England and Paris, France and Colonge, Germany beside party with all of you for three weeks. I arrive November 12 and leave December 2 back here to Michigan Hope to carve a larger than life bust of Bob Marley for this years Cup to be donated to the winner of the cup as I have done the past couple of years. Steve don't fret the attacks it's all part of the theorapy for being good at what you do. There will always be arrows shot to bring you down armor up and deflect those incoming and carry on. Ok, so ive never heard of this oaksterdam cup...so i did some reasearch. here's what it states:
* This event will be held at the Historic Sweets Ballroom, right in the heart of Oaksterdam, on November 7, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 12:00 - Midnight.
-So apparently this is event is only one day :/. weird.
****VIP Judge tickets are available for a $150 donation, and General Admission tickets a $25 donation. .We will verify that all attendees are at least 21 years of age, affiliated with Oaksterdam University, and/ or be a medical cannabis patient to enter the event. This is a Prop 215, SB 420 compliant event. Patient validation / recommendation information will be collected at registration time and will also be checked at the venue on the night of the event in order to obtain a wrist band. All attendees will need to bring the proper identification used during the registration process.

-Basically you have to have to belong in their class of "potheads" in order to even go!!! And you still have to pay!!!
