SUPER HIGH ME - ROLL YOUR OWN SCREENING
Roll Your Own Extended to 5/20!!
Thu, May 15, 2008 1:37 pm
Super High Me will be rolling across the country in a series of grassroots screening events. What’s different here is that the screenings won’t be at the local multiplex. What’s different is YOU.
That’s right, you. Want to check out Super High Me? Don’t wait for the DVD release in June. Anyone can sign up to Roll Your Own screening of Super High Me. For FREE. Screenings start, of course, on 4/20.
How does it work? It’s actually quite simple. All screenings will be done with a DVD. All you need is:
- A place. Any dark room will do.
- A projector. The one you use at the office is perfect.
- A DVD player.
- A sound system.
Plug the DVD player into the projecter and sound system. Instant theater. Of course, if you don’t have access to a projector, your widescreen TV will do just fine. And if you have access to a real movie theater, it can show DVDs as well.
The goal is to get creative here. We’ve done this in lecture halls, night clubs, and even public parks. For Super High Me, we’re thinking comedy clubs, cannabis clubs, ACLU headquarters. You get the picture.
If you’re ready to Roll Your Own screening, click HOOK ME UP below to get started. Once you’ve completed the online application, we’ll publish it on the find a screening page on this site. We’ll help you promote your event, and before 4/20 rolls around, we’ll send you a DVD.

The fine print:
1) Yes, it’s free. That means you don’t have to pay a fee to screen the movie. You only have to cover a nominal shipping and handling charge for us to send your DVD.
2) Free means free for everyone. You may not charge admission to your event. You may sell concessions, etc, but it is not ok to charge at the door.
3) The start date for screenings is 4/20. No screenings may be scheduled prior to 4/20.
4) Screenings are limited to the US and Canada. If you are overseas and want to see the movie, sign up for our mailing list, and we’ll let you know as soon as the details are available.
If you have already signed up, you can log in to administer your event here.
