GZA (a.k.a. The Genius) has been plying the hip-hop trade since the early ’90s. Growing up on Staten Island, he mentored his two younger cousins (and fellow future Wu-Tang Clan members) RZA and Ol’ Dirty Bastard in the art of the rhyme. Soon the Wu-Tang legend would spread far and wide, with 1993’s Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers forever securing the group’s place in hip-hop history. With his fourth solo album, Legend of the Liquid Sword (MCA), GZA returns to center stage. Check out the video of the album’s single “Knock, Knock,” featuring Method Man and Ghostface Killah.
