Bob Marley’s February 6 birthday will be celebrated all over the world. HIGH TIMES is involved in two major events: the annual Bob Marley Caribbean Festival in Miami, and the Cannabis Cup Band's annual tribute, held this year at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York City. BOB MARLEY CARIBBEAN FESTIVAL IN MIAMI
The 10th-Annual Bob Marley Caribbean fest returns to Bayfront Park (301 N. Biscayne Blvd.) on February 8 with a star-studded lineup. In addition to the Marley Family All-Stars – including Morther Cedella Marley Booker, Stephen “Ragga” Marley, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, and Julian Marley – the bill features: Bunny Wailer, Capleton, Steel Pulse, Pit Bull, Fourth Dimension, Hashbrown and Yoko Theory. Just this week the 420 Funk Mob featuring George Clinton were added to the show.
Doors open at 1 pm. The show runs approximately 12 hours. There is plenty of Jamaican food and crafts on the site. Look for the HIGH TIMES/NORML booth.
The ticket price is $23, plus 4 cans of food. All proceeds go to the non-profit Bob Marley Movement.

NYC's wickedest reggae musicians will be performing two smokin' long sets of Marley classics to honor the king of reggae at the 6th Annual Bob Marley Birthday Tribute. Last year these spliffed-out men with chops performed over 50 Marley tunes! Come early as this show is likely to sell out. Special guests to be announced.
