Federal Bison
Federal Bison started in 2001 when guitarist Brett McQuiggan and Bassist Dan Porri started jamming in a friend’s basement, forming a rock trio. One year later the band adopted fiery guitarist Jim Cipollini along with vocalist Gabe Silverman. Former Civil Eyes drummer Adam Barker was soon added, cementing the band’s lineup.
Federal Bison’s goal is to write rock n roll music that is relevant to modern times, while incorporating classic elements. Their music reflects their live performance: high energy, no gimmick rock n’ roll.
Federal Bison recently finished recording their EP, “The Taste,” and have been blowing away capacity crowds all across southern New England with their delicious blend of blistering rock.
A celebrated Connecticut music magazine recently nominated Federal Bison for awards in six different categories, including Best Original Rock. Additionally, each band member was nominated for top honors in categories for their respective instrument.
Their music thrives on an intense, hard-hitting sound while incorporating emotion driven melodies and affectionate lyrics.
