SMOKE THE VOTE: A BENEFIT CONCERT FOR NORML

I'm sad to report that according to NORML, today marks the 20 millionth marijuana arrest in America. Of those arrests, approximately 90% are for minor marijuana possession - not trafficking, cultivation, or sale. Estimates project that law enforcement now arrests almost one million cannabis users each year.

This disturbing milestone illustrates all too clearly why I've chosen to run for president, and why in the past year I've traveled across the the country trying to inspire pot smokers to come out of the grow closet, register, vote, write to their representatives, and join NORML. Only by standing up, speaking out, and supporting our legalization lobby can we end this destructive madness and live without fear.

Before my campaign comes to an end on Election Day, I wanted to do something significant for the cause and end my run for the White House with a bang. It is for this reason that I've organized a very special event here in New York City on October 26th. It's called SMOKE THE VOTE: A BENEFIT CONCERT FOR NORML. It will be a side-splitting, headbanging night of rock and activism, starring comedian ROB CANTRELL, THE STONED, BLACK WATER RISING, and the triumphant return of the incredible 90s protest metal band WARRIOR SOUL in their only NYC appearance. All of the net proceeds from the show will be donated to NORML.

We will have a Smoke The Vote station set up where you can sign petitions and join or contribute to NORML. We will be selling cool HIGH TIMES and NORML gear, and also giving out some free magazines, stickers and other goodies. We'll also be raffling off some killer products that have been donated to us. Plus, it will be an early show, so you won't have any trouble getting to work the next morning. Trust me when I tell you, this is not a night to be missed.
