Randall's Island Park has long enjoyed its position as a recreational hub for Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs for over half a century. Centrally located on the banks of the East River, it is easily accessible from all points by car, bus, bicycle, pedestrian and ferry. With plenty of acreage of grass to dance, chill and roam along with some of the city's most stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, Randall's Island is no doubt the perfect venue for the Electric Zoo festival. With every ticket sold, a $2 donation goes toward the beautification of Randall's Island through environmental art and stewardship.
In a short time, Electric Zoo has already established itself as New York’s premier electronic music festival. In 2009, over 26,000 people passed through the gates to witness over 50 acts representing multiple countries on four stages. Electric Zoo represents all genres of electronic music by bringing top international DJs and live acts along with hometown favorites to New York City. The festival’s inaugural edition received a coveted IDMA nomination for “Best U.S. Festival” and “Best Music Event” by URB magazine, as well as positive press coverage from major media outlets like CNN, New York Times, Huffington Post, Village Voice, Time Out New York, New York Post, DJ Mag, and Ocean Drive.
