<description><![CDATA[A new law that requires patients to register with the state in order to legally use medical marijuana has led to hundreds of applications for Maine&rsquo;s Department of Health and Human Services. <description><![CDATA[Congratulations Mainers. Yesterday the Maine Medical Marijuana Act &ndash; Question 5 &ndash; passed with an estimated 60% of the vote (all precincts have not yet reported). The act expands Maine&rsquo;s existing medical marijuana law, which originally passed in 1999.
