INTEGRITY
A few or more issues back, there was an “article” in your mag about a dude named Jay Generation talking about his favorite Northwest strains. Turns out it was a huge advertisement about his company, Next Generation, and their newest strain, Bonkers.

A couple of issues back, Jorge Cervantes tells us about Next Generation and how badass they are and to check out to greenlifeseeds.com. He says it’s a trusted site. So I send them $180 dollars for the …More

How does one go about moving to Amsterdam and becoming a coffeeshop employee or a grower/tester for HIGH TIMES? How do I do what everyone sees in HIGH TIMES?

Dear J.,
Find yourself a cheap place to stay and visit as many coffeeshops as you can to ask for a job. Make sure you have a good résumé heavy on experience. If you speak several languages, you will increase your chances of employment.

Compassionate Grower
I run a grow operation for a compassion clinic. Recently, I planted six germinated seeds and threw them in the dark, but they did not come up. Then I put them under two small desk-lamp fluorescents. It is Day 4 and no seeds have come up yet. Is there a problem with my setup? I’ve been using 24 hours of light a day, and the garden is bordered with Mylar. It gets pretty hot in there. The lights are providing warmth and lumens. Also, I found a small worm about a …More

I live in the southeastern U.S. What strain of sativa would be my best bet for getting the highest quality as well as the heaviest yield?
A GROWROOM TOUR OF SPAIN

By Jorge Cervantes

The HIGH TIMES film crew and I tripped around Spain last year to shoot some of my favorite gardens for Jorge Cervantes’ Ultimate Grow DVD #2. This insider’s trip to Spanish growrooms, greenhouses and backyard and guerrilla gardens was so interesting and fun that we decided to share a few exclusive details about 10 of the 30 gardens (that’s all the space we have) that we visited for the shoot.

I have been growing outdoors now for about five years, but I keep cuttings from my plants indoors in the winter. I want to start a small growroom indoors and switch from dirt to hydro. I only have two types of plants, Diesel and Kush. Which one will thrive better indoors with hydro?

When do I harvest? Everybody tells me to wait till it freezes, but I don’t know—maybe I should harvest sooner. I live in Tucson, AZ, and even though we are at a high elevation, it doesn’t freeze here until late October. What should I do?

NARCOCORRIDAS AND GREENHOUSES IN MEXICO

Story & photos by Jorge Cervantes

MEXICO
The 737 penetrated the dense haze of smog ahead. Sometime later, I could see the sprawling urban area—some 3,700 square miles (9,500 kilometers) in all, containing more than 20 million people—nestled in Anáhuac, the Valley of Mexico. I have always known it as D.F. (Distrito Federal) or, simply, as Mexico.

Mexico City is located 7,350 feet (2,240 meters) above sea level at the 20th Parallel. On the globe, it is situated …More
