A. put it on 24hr cycle
B. put in on a 16/8 cycle
C. put it on a 18/6 cycle
i'm not sure what is the best. if i put it 24hrs of light does it shock the the plant cuz its used to 16/8?
or is 16hrs enough light to grow roots?
i put some on 24hrs and they look like they aren't liking so much light. i also dont want to much of a dark period also. cloning is hard as fuck!!!
anyone know whats up?

if you were to get some flours put one or two bloom bulb with it.(depending on how many bulbs you buy)
the red spectrum is acutally prefered to start seeds and the first week or so of seedlings. promtoes root growth. in one of my T5's i have 2 bloom and 2 grow bulbs for my veg. and the other one has all grow for my mother and clones. once the clones have rooted i put them under the one with the mixed bulbs, veg for about a week or two and striaght to the flower chamber.

JON E, when you grow medicinally, it doesn't really matter what you say on here, right?
plant the seeds of freedom and overgrow the government!

hope this helps.
P.S. dont buy any flouresent bulbs that say "plant light" or anything like that....they dont have the right spectrums.
its more for aquriums and shit like that. cool white, daylight, natural, warm white or look for 6500k when you pick some flouresent bubls.

I am into my third week of vegetative growth and am going to try pruning my plants for the first time. I am wanting to know which branches I should prune. I have A)big fan leaves that protrude from the stalk with no side branches and B) branches that shoot off from the stalk but also have side branching and possible bud sites. My question: is it better to trim the "node-containing" branches or the "no nodes" branches? Hope this makes sense and hope someone can help. Thanks

Second, I do know how to switch a HSP to a MH, but i do not want to explain this to you as you stated "you are by far not an electrician." This task that you want to attempt is VERY dangerous if you make a mistake. I could not live with myself if you burned your house down. If you must, the internet is very resourceful, but I would not recommend it. Spare yourself the danger, and just purchase the right ballast, please.
I have seen people make mistakes with switching the ballast over, and their houses (in both cases) burned down.

Buddy420: The bigger your budget can afford and your closet can fit. There is a saying with carpenters, "measure twice, cut once". In this case, "measure your growing space twice, order your equipment once." Keep in mind that you may want to leave a little $ left over so you can buy some upgrades.
