CLONING FOR PERFECTION
The road to higher yields and exceptional buds begins with successful cloning. When you start with healthy, thriving clones, you will often end up with a healthy, thriving crop come harvest time.

If you’re having difficulties maintaining a high level of successfully rooted clones, I suggest the inexpensive and foolproof procedure developed by Amsterdam’s Delta-9 Labs. The cloning process revealed here was achieved using rockwool cubes; however, soil, perlite or coco mediums work equally well.
Humidity, as we all know, plays a vital role in developing healthy rooted clones. If the humidity level fluctuates even by as little as 10%, it could result in cuttings failing to develop properly, which may eventually cause them to wilt, mold or die. Maintaining a rather high humidity (75–85%) for the first three days is absolutely vital to the cuttings’ success.
It is recommended (and thus assumed for the purposes of this article) that your cloning area is equipped with fluorescent lights (known in parts of Europe as TL lights). High-intensity discharge lighting (HID) is unnecessary when dealing with sensitive clones: They simply can’t handle such intense light at this young and fragile stage of existence. Fluorescents provide enough light to root clones without the dry heat typical of high-pressure sodium (HPS) or metal-halide (MH) lighting as well.
The process begins with the preparation of the medium in which you intend to clone. We use rockwool cubes for their ease and convenience; however, this is a matter of personal preference.

Idiot Proof Correction!

The water level is adjusted to 1/4 from the top before you pop in any clones, not three days later!
This sytem is cheap, easy and has worked faithfully for years.

Note: DO NOT use the Oasis cube factory hole, but make your own in any mid-corner. Poke a deep hole with the toothpick and draw it back out, do no widen it.
Cut the 6” clones from the tops for the best babies and dip them immediately rather than making a pile to do later. Cutting them to size on a clean wooden clothes pin chopping block, works for me. Either a straight or a diagonal cut is okay and dip them deep.
Place each clone in ALMOST to the bottom. If you poke through just draw it back up 1/3" or 1/2".
Cover with the clear dome and leave it alone for three days. Leave town if you like.
Remove the dome and leave it off. Cut off any shriveled leaves and leave it alone another three days, then change the water to the new level, 1/4 from the top. The clone-cubes live happiest in water up to their necks.
Your babies are spared the shock of wilted dehydration using this method.
Change the water every three days, clip off the dead stuff and leave it alone. Enjoy the show as they root unattended!

A gift to my brethren. Idiot-Proof Clones
Parts: 18 each 1 1/2" oasis cubes, new razor blade, toothpick, rooter-dip of your choice, tray with high dome cover, aquarium pump, line, air stone, 18" 20w florescent light, 2’x2’ photo plastic sheet or white paper.
Set up your light 12-14' over where the tray sits. You can use any wall shelf for this. Mount the light to the bottom side of the upper shelf securely with screws. Set your tray under it on your working shelf. Use a sheet of photo plastic to cover the front. Constant air circulation is critical. Enough to influence a match light is enough. A little more is better. Use a small fan indirectly if in closet.
Place up to 18 cubes in the tray and fill it with enough water to cover them. Set the air stone in center and weight it down with a stainless steel nut or a glass rod to keep it submerged. Use nothing that’ll rust. Clip, strap or clamp the hose into place and don’t let it obstruct the on-off of the cover. Let it stand overnight.
