Tell me about Mandala Seeds' history. To some of our readers, you may appear to be new on the scene, but that's not exactly the case, right?
Mike: We've been in business for three years, and before that we gathered more than a decade of breeding experience, which has flowed into the creation of our strains. I collected landrace seeds in the early 1980s from Mexico and Jamaica and had done breeding on my own before, but with no professional goal in mind. I caught up with Jasmin in the fall of 1988. We knew each other from earlier days, but had lost track in between. On this occasion, she told me of her agricultural engagement in India. About a year later, I decided to follow her to India, where she was involved in an agricultural development project. With her own jeep and enough spare time at hand, she invited me to travel with her throughout India and Nepal. This was the most adventurous and exciting time of my life. Since we both liked good pot, Jasmin showed me the most interesting places where wild cannabis was growing. This was like paradise for me - I'd never seen anything like this before. Jasmin lived in a house in the foothills of the Himalayas with an adjoining water mill, in a beautiful spot surrounded by giant, ancient chestnut trees. She had a 10-acre plot of land, laid on fertile terraces, full of sinsemilla cannabis. This was absolutely mind-blowing. Some local families helped her take care of the plantation and would also process the resin into charas. At this pristine place, we had, for the first time, the idea to cross old-school and newer strains with fresh landrace genetics. For the next three years, however, we could not realize this idea because Jasmin had to fulfill her work contract. So she bought a house in Goa for us to stay in during the winter months, when her place in the mountains was covered in snow. Between our travels, she supervised the development project. When we eventually left India, we carried with us a lot of cannabis seeds from many different places and sources. Back in Europe, we found the quiet place we were looking for to start our breeding career.

Today , people grow indica dominate trees and sometimes is harvested early and with poor ass cures. All leads to less power and poorer smoke. But taker easy and take your time, get 100% sativas and be patient, youllbe happy and HIIIIIIIIGH you did! PEACE
wtf? seedS?!!!

First off back in the day when u were using herbs where u also into using lsd as well?
Just a thought. BUT that is NOT where I'm going with this. Today most every herb is an Indica Sativa hybrid of somekind or another. The indica influences produce big phat chunky buds with a shortened flowering time and a heavy stone. Which is perfect for todays domestic indoor growers. However if you want to get HIGH you simply need a 100% sativa which is exactly what ALL the ole school bud was. Panama Red and Columbian Gold for example are two ole school pure sativa powerhouses from South America back when all the herb used to be imported. And ALL that herb has power & was seeded to boot. It's not the seeds but the strains my friend. If you want visuals and a soaring trippy HIGH today in 2007. Go see Greenhouse seeds and pick up Arjans Ultra Haze numba #1. It is a pure sativa that take 13-14 weeks to flower but will have you SOARING and literally almost trippin balls. However if you want a pure nailed to couch indica, Mandala Hashberry is the way. PEACE

'been tokin' for 35 years. No brag, just fact.
As a qualified excursionist I must giggle at the thoughts of the innumerable uncontrollable giggle attacks of the past!
I'm afraid I must attribute it to an increased tolerance. Not like alcohol, where it actually takes more volume to achieve the same effect. I simply mean we get used to it and miss out on the the finer nuances.
The weed contained a fraction of todays super-dank's THC. What else can it be? Is it really the seeds?
Please allow me to continue.
I hold cherished memories of specific music, the guitar solo in "Your So Vain" which absolutely floored me!
I remember auditory hallucinations and instantaneous sound patterns which appeared and seemed to have been going a long time in my mind when they arrived. Holographic.
The bright, smudgy, Kodachrome and halo-vision was extra juicy!
Now it seems I have to count myself lucky to get head rushes.
It proves that Genuine MMJ patients are medicating, not flying high.
I made a kif extractor and skuffed my trimmings. The rushes were nice!
BTW that $15 weed came from your $2.60 stockboy freakin' job! Maybe a $1.80 hash slinger. You could buy a 3 bedroom house for $18k.
"Ounces" were sold by holding up a baggie and measuring it against the number of fingers that covered it when looking at it from the side.
"Man, did you see that 4-finger lid?! My rip-off dealer only sold me 2 1/2 for the same $10!" Ahhh, the bad old days! How good they were to me!

Being on a limited budget I was lookin for some quality magic beans at a fair price. I ordered a pack of ten magic beans of the HASHBERRY from Mandala and let me just say that it is totally AWESOME!
- Since I had ordered then High Times actually named HASHBERRY a strain of the YEAR!
First off, all the beans were at least double the size of normal beans, very large and dark. I had 100% germination. About half were females. all the plants were very uniform almost like clones. The vigor was outstanding as well. The smell and the crystal production are out of this world. A very Berry Hashy mix with great color, some did actually have hues of purples and again the crystals ...oh man!
The smoke was smooth, narcotic, with little burnout like most hardass indicas. A great Pain Med and spasms , headaches, musclesaches and overall sense of well - being.
I am using Mandala HB as the foundation of many breeding projects and I expect nothing short of outstanding results. I certainly cant wait to try out their other selections including thier Purplish Mandala #1 theyve just come out with.
Keep toking...stay Safe
Demand PEACE!
