TIP OF THE MONTH: HAPPY ROOTING

Fill them with your favorite medium or anything you like. Try replacing rockwool cubes with Coco Cups on your ebb-and-flow table. My favorite application has to be for aeroponics tables. Use them as liners for the net pots, and watch the 360-degree nest of roots grow larger than ever. The coco fiber will increase early root development, leading to heartier plants.
I have reliable information that Jose Cuervo uses these cups in Mexico to grow the blue agave for their finest tequila. They come in all the popular sizes, 2", 3", 6" and 8" pots, all with lids to match. They even have 4' x 8' mats for the bottom of trays--just imagine how happy your roots will be. You could even cut those mats to fit your individual grow trays too. I love it when hydroponic techniques are brought closer to natural ones.
As popularity and availability rise, prices fall. As of printing, prices on the cups run from 38 cents to around a dollar. Lids are purchased separately and only cost pennies. The larger mats sell for $32. For dealer information, visit generalhydroponics.com or call (800) 374-9376.
