Here are two shorter Busted Letters we recently received. Despite the content of the first, there is no evidence that the HIGH TIMES Web site will actually get you high. Enjoy with caution…

Busted Letter #113 – A Web Browser is Not a Dealer

So this is really not your typical Busted Letter. I go to a very rural school full of assholes and closed-minded dicks. Anyway, one day I hurt my finger and could not work outside which is part of one of my classes. So I was sent to the library. In the library I was just surfing the net and I was like, "I wonder if they blocked HIGH TIMES?" which is still my favorite zine.

So I typed in the url and I couldn’t believe it. They did not block it. After an hour passed I got off the Internet and moved on to my next class. Little did I know the computer teacher watched every one of my moves from a remote monitor.

The next day the superintendent was at school with a cop. They tested me and suspended my Internet use for the rest of the year. So I guess you don’t even have to 420 to get busted.

Busted Letter #114 – Ditch Your Dirt

I was recently busted for manufacturing. The problem was, though I was well under the 1,000-plant limit that carries a 10-year minimum, my being a stoner and the size of my vehicle made it quite hard to dispose of old dirt. So I bagged it up and would get rid of it every other day or so. However, when they discovered that I had over 100 but under 1,000 they opened my bags and counted the growing cubes, which I can’t prove weren’t harvested.

So my advice to people is to get rid of any prior growing media before you import the new media. Just something to think about. Anyway, the state I live in probably wasn’t the best place for this sort of activity. So, see you guys in 10.

What part of the Constitution do they not understand?

Article. IV. Section. 2.
The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.

I looked up the meaning of that sentence and found no less than (Seven)7 different interpolations of it from the courts!and none were correct.

It was written when the states were forming and ,when it refers to the United States as the Federal government, and not the several States and to this day unless you live in Washington D.C.,,you live in the several states and you are a State citizen!. If however you live in D.C. then you live in the UNITED STATES!. got it?.

Medical Marijuana can only be Regulated by the federal gov, and not by state(s)!. And here is why!,

Let's say that Medical Marijuana and coffee were legal in California and N.Y. and not in some states you had to go through to deliver it, or what if they were legal in 16 states!,,, but which ones? that's why that was put in the Constitution for states to be uniform,,,IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION.UNION.UNION.,,when a state bust you they and the lawers make a lot of MONEY!! simple "the more the lawers let them take your freedom the more they make!.

Hey EVERYONE! Just busted myself recently and it totally blows! I looked online and found L.E.A.P.(Law Enforcement Against Prohibition). There is a HUGE movement going on to legalize and regulate ALL drugs. They are not condoning drug use. But, they do believe it is your personal right to do drugs if you want. They are also declaring that the "war on drugs" is a huge failure and that it needs to end. They have a petition you can put your name onto that will be sent to President Obama and there is also a pre-drafted letter that you can have emailed to your local state representative. Both are strongly urging for legalization.

This is NO JOKE and is completely on the up and up. Check out their web site and GET INVOLVED!!! You can find all the video proof you need on the web site to prove it is true. Some videos of actual news media and discussions in the senate on a bill to legalize ALL drugs. They are fighting in Congress and the UN and traveling all over the U.S. to help educate people on the failed drug policies. THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND WIIL ALL HAPPEN A LOT FASTER IF EVERYONE GETS INVOLVED. Put your bongs down for one minute and do some networking and tell EVERYONE to voice their opinions.

I urge everyone to go online and look up "Law Enforcement Against Prohibition" and at least check it's validity. I know that after getting busted myself, I was feeling really guilty about the whole ordeal. But after reading through this site for a while I was feeling very disturbed and not because I was wrong but, because WE ALL SHOULD HAVE THE BASIC HUMAN RIGHT TO DECIDE WHAT GOES INTO OUR BODIES!!!

Do you really have nothing better to do? I have read through these posts and it seems funny that a cop would sit on the High Times website just to rile people up. In truth your ignorance is only aiding and fueling peoples outrage with current marijuana laws...so I guess in a sense while you sit here and feel as though you are making a blow to marijuana smokers you are really only aiding them.

Someone that feels it is a good thing that a college kid gets arrested for marijuana and then suspended is someone that will never change their views and has a singularity thought process. I only hope that at some point you get to the point in your life where you realize its ok to think for yourself and use your position in society to help not only enforce the current laws but also since you are on the front lines everyday enforcing these laws you may be able to see what really works and doesn't and help change them for the better. Your responsibility does not end at enforcing only...take it beyond that and help change things for the better.

Im a Army Veteran,with a fragged up back,Im at 100%disability and medically retired from the US Army.I take Pain killers every day,prescribed by my Dr.I was a staff sargeant when discharged,with 18 years,9 months of combined National Guard and Regular Army experience,6 yrs.Natl.Guard,the rest Active duty army.I quit drinking when my Dr.put me on Hydrocodone,and I quit blazing up,because if your tested by VA,and come up dirty,they"ll cut you off your meds.Any way,a local cop stops me and I had 2 different pain meds in my bottle,with my name on it,so he hauls me in for possession of controlled substance,I post 1600$ bail the next morning,and 1500$ to a dam good attorney,and go to VA and get my prescription history printed out,and show the judge,and the attorney gets it dropped all the way,but now the Cops are trying to stop me all the time,and why?cause I beat the charge?Im not a dealer,never have been,they dont harrass convicted felon drug dealers this bad,I got fed up,and went to the Police station and challenged this cop,named melton to a paintball match,right in front of all his peers,bad back and all,and he wouldnt do it,Ive never played paintball,all my experience was coming from hostile forces with live ammo,in Panama,and Iraq,so this chicken shit cop backs out,that goes to show you that these sissy ass punks are nothing but asswipes hiding behind a badge,Melton,if I ever catch you in the right spot,Im gonna split your wig,you got that?

We were pulled over near midnite on a 4 lane . I was a passenger cause I had been enjoying a bit of the grape .
The driver passed the breath test . We were ordered out of the vehicle . I was arrested for drunk in public which would not have applied had I stayed in the car . The judge dismissed the charges as I was ordered out of the vehicle and gave the cop a tongue lashing . The cops face went beet red . He pulls me over everytime he sees me now. Sometimes 5 a week . I have a pocket recorder thats gonna get him fired .

Driving down a narrow country (paved) road . Came up on a backhoe blocking the road from the shoulder out , other side blocked bt its trailer ,shoulder out . I squeezed between but the winnabago behind me takes it to the ditch . A pile up insued . Bachhoe operator loads trailer hauls ass. Cops arrive and see pile up . I tell them the cause , they say "can you prove it" ???? And writes everyone a ticket for failure to control vehicle . They weren't even interested . I was a witness in 7 different court cases that didn't help at all . $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I hate to inform you all,but MONEY don't mean SHIT if they are out to get YA!!!!

I had a very simple charge against me that would have been reduced down any where in the USA!!!!

I was charged fully and cut NO SLACK!!!

My charge was laughable,but the judge made sure he informed me he could have given me one year in PRISON for it.

I went to TWO lawyers with a BLANK CHECK and told them up front,name a price to get it reduced. They said no amount of money was going to help.

I had NO RECORD at all NOT even SPEEDING TICKETS!!!!!!!!!

From the writer of Ditch your dirt, this was only written to warn others that they dont have to prove they were harvested or can do so by showing the ROOT systems in the dirt attached to a grow cube. You need to look under the Federal Guidelines they tried to do the samd thing to me. I had my Attorney hire a Botany Professor because under the Guidelines a Plant is not a Plant unless it has Root(s), Rootball(s)or Root Hairs is consider a Marijuana Plant. Look under the Federal Guidelines Section 2D1.1 Commentary #17. Here is the web site for the Federal Guidelines www.ussc.gov/2005guid/gl2005.pdf . They would have to prove that the cubes had marijuana roots in them. Trust me, they said I had 250 plants and with my Botany Professor we got it down to 62 plants and I was facing Minimum 10 years but when I got sentence I got 6 months house arrest and 4 years probation.
