Busted Letter #90 – Grow Smart

Dear HIGH TIMES,

I am writing this on behalf of a close friend of mine who is currently serving a three to five year felony sentence for growing a plant put here by GOD himself.

His story is as follows:

My friend was the proud papa of three beautiful female plants all about a week or so from harvest. The plants were outdoors in a secluded area. Well, one day when he went to go check on them, he was greeted by some local law enforcement agents that had been tipped off by a hunter who happened to wander across the garden.

After my friend was questioned (i.e. if he knew about the plants? what he was doing in the area? - he hadn't actually been tending to the plants when he ran into the police so he told them he was hiking) the police told him they would let him on his way if he allowed them to search his person. He agreed to the search without thinking.

When they searched him they found a pipe with resin in it and Miracle Grow in his bag. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy, and cultivation of a controlled substance - all felony charges in our great state.

He was also charged with possession for the pipe. He wanted me to write this as a word of advice from a fellow grower; never bring any paraphernalia or weed with you to your grow spot. If you have to bring nutrients or any grow gear just use your head and be cautious because you never know when you might run into the police.

This is why I hate to grow outdoors. Not to metion the snakes,ticks and possiable rabid animals. also losing plants to deer and elemants. Keep your mouth shut and grow indoors. It is alot safer.

You know, i kinda do wish farming cannabis would be a good living, something i could retire on later. I'd be one happy girl. But, without doing the political thing first, we'll never have that right; and until the politicians see how harmless the plant is, it'll never happen within our lifetime. Someone's gotta be out there complaining; it's america, charlie 55's got the right (just "bitching" about people doesn't do as much good, though, just pisses people off who might otherwise help you).

First of all i say we educate the cops. From experience, most of em aren't the brightest crayon in the box, and need a little reiteration. The politicians aren't much better off, but understand that their power is at stake if too many people don't like them. Then, you've got the general citizens, who have been brainwashed by decades of dare and "just say no" campaigns, and slander about the herb. It's a case of prejudice, and we've gotta break through that, and show people what the plant really is.

As for how, hopefully someone's more creative than me. But once you do, i'll help out, that's for sure.

If you need to be clean for a test this is what you do, First you need some vitamin B and 1 gal of water take 6 vitamin-B pills 3 hours before your test then 1 1/2 hours before the test start drinking the water you only have 1 hour to drink the whole gal ( Make it warm water, warm water goes through you much faster), You will start having to pee about 1/2 hours into the drinking go ahead and pee, finish the water and after you have pee'd 4-5 times your next 3-4 pee's will be ALL CLEAN, the vitamin B is to turn your pee yellow no matter how much water you drink since some places will check your PH balance or look for CLEAR pee, I passed over 130 test while on FEDERAL PAROLE and i smoked tuff everyday even when i was doing my time, This Is NOT BULLSHIT, it is totaly impossible to get pot out of your body fast but you can hide it with the right method GOOD LUCK 2 all u growers & Remember it does not matter how good the seed is plant it ANYWAYS>>>>>AND NO 2 ALL SEARCHES

well, the no agreeing to a search isn't always true...I live in the state of Minnesota, and have been pulled over 3 times with possesion of at least 2 grams and always one pipe, when I get asked for the search I have been always inform of the heavy pot smell (what am I suppouse to do at that moment)...I have always agreed, and after a slap in the wrist they would let me go. Only once I was given a ticket but was never charged, neither had to pay it. Now, the times I was pulled over in texas...NEVER AGREE, and if you're in NY and know the kind of ass holes cops are, you are pretty dumb just for accepting, they didn't had any cause to search you.

I was merely commenting on the circumstances surrounding the search, if it happened that way. If we're talking about your friend then yes, he's screwed, but there are still appeals possible related to ineffective assistance of counsel. But again, that's not my advice to you, or your friend. That's just what I would do. Of course I would have won the motion to supress the evidence, and my client would have waltzed out of court a free man....After he paid me!

make the soil loose and well drained ,dig holes as deep as 18", put some fert in bottom,test ph of soil first and adjust if ness. 7 is ok find instructions on grow data base this web site is under federal screwtinny but worry they cant get a warrant but they can follow you around and get one watch for this they do it with 2 mabey 3 vehicles but you can still spot them and you can certainly feel it paraniod is good,lead them on a wild goose chase and keep nothing where you live after that and if they do get a warrent and dont find anything a local police dept is worth 250000 or so now and this is a tidy sum of cash to split with your lawyer and then you can purchase crack or junk and sell it to school children if you want(please dont do this) good growing.

will I sign the agreement for my company? say that I will pee on the spot.How will they stay in buissness without the stoners fixing all those fuckups the alcys and tweekers do.I realy dont know.this is a great article.plant good size clones with established roots on property other than your own,plant them where it is fairly wet this time of year and will SLOWLY through the course of the growing season,3,4 months.Scout and find these places the year before,use gps.Look for similar vegitation,now,dig a big hole or holes and work soil,ad perolite and time released fert,organic if you can get it or chemicals for tomatoes or vegies is fine,also deer counter measures such as bear scent chicken wire , places where there is some cover are desirable because weed stands out ,you can spot it easy and grow good weed with half indirect and full sun and probally not have to water after they get there tap root going well and finally when your in the mood to harvest them take nite vision monoloculars are cheap now and glass the area before entering on all sides .carry no incrimining aticles with you.they dont want to bust you any way until your almost done so they have lots of material to keep you locked up and get kudos from there big bosses.I will not pee,I will not accept any treatment and I will not quit smoking pot,tweekers suck amen.

If the police told him they would let him go if he consented to a search, it's an involuntary consent and should have been thrown out by a court. That's lawyer 101 stuff. Since he's serving time, I assume that's not the case, or his lawyer sucked.

I never comment on these things but being that I am also within a few weeks to harvest and this article caught my attention I have to say something. although "DAM"s grammer may be lacking he does have a point, you dont bring a pipe, you leave the fertilizer buried or hidden nearby so you dont have to hike with it and you DEFINATELY ALWAYS REFUSE THE FUCKING SEARCH! poop chute or whatever his name is was right, you ARE all morons! your giving us half intelligent tokers a bad rap! one thag i would of done for fertalizer i would have a lil bit like 10 12 feet from the plants hidden like put into the ground be smart if not puor some out on to the ground and when you need it grab it and wtf all you dip shits are alike lets carry the pipe man thats just as stupid as it gets never ever carry it or eney thang you need to use pot with thats just as stupid as takeing a 12 foot plant of the best to a police station get the fucking brains cells man

The point is, Dude even the judge knows the Mirable crap is poision and he could easily argue that he had nothing to do with the MJ plants that were near him. A lawyer would of argued that grow charge to hell.
