"Mad respect to all of you for even making it out here amid all this madness," Slightly Stoopid complimented their highly appreciative crowd last night during a headline appearance at the Melkveg in Amsterdam, as part of the HIGH TIMES 22nd Annual Cannabis Cup. "Now let's turn this entire place into one giant smokestack!"

The pothead pilgrims gathered for the Cup gladly obliged, as the best stoner party band on Earth brought their irie sounds to the world's premier marijuana and hashish competition. A night earlier, Gomez brought a decidedly more indie rock vibe to the same venue, including an ironic encore on "Get Myself Arrested," their musical critique of the UK's nonsensical pot laws. Naturally, nobody was getting arrested in Amsterdam, at least not for cannabis. Otherwise, I'd be more than a little nervous writing this "cannabis cupdate" while all around me rigorous testing takes place on the more than two dozen indica strains entered in this year's seed breeder competition.

Tonight, reggae legend Barrington Levy will rock another huge Cup party, and voting gets into full swing at the Powerzone. I've met a ton of judges this year, from all over the world, of every race, age, and belief, and each year it renews my faith that marijuana is not just a plant and a medicine, but also a culture. Not to mention a serious competition. So judges, start assessing all that weed, and get ready to help crown the top pot in the world!

just make this stuff leagal in USA been smoking for 40 yrs,if i can obtain weed in usa for 40 yrs and not get busted once, dont you think its time to leagalize the stuff. Like to see what government officials would do if we the people voted it into law. Hey i remember someone telling me its a free country!!! So why cant i smoke my weed on my front porch????

amnesia haze is top for sure and at a legit price of 9euro its the bomb greenhouse and the superlemonhaze has been overated shows what marketing money and influence can do but big up the strain hunters for their work in india and high times for the dope cup this year

ALSO., DOES ANYONE REMEMBER SEEING A PICTURE IN OR ON THE HIGH TIMES WEB SITE OF A PLANT THAT RESEMBLED THE OLD SCHOOL STRAIN FROM JAMAICA.,
A STRAIN I BELIEVE WAS CALLED "ANGEL HAIR" FOR IT HAD THESE AMAZINGLY THIN LONG BARELY SERRATED LEAVES AROUND THE FLOWERING TOPS.,I THINK IT WAS FABLED TO HAVE BEEN A FAVORITE OF THE LATE BOB MARLEY "?"
ANY WAY IT HAS NOT BEEN AROUND THAT I KNOW OF FOR A LONG TIME.,
THE LAST I SAW WITH MY OWN EYES WAS A CROSS FROM UNKNOWN PARENTAGE AND HAD THE RESEMBLANCE OF THIS OLD SCHOOL STRAIN BUT WAS NOT NEARLY AS POTENT AS IT WAS GROWN WELL ABOVE THE THIRTIETH., I BELIEVE SOUTH OF CHICAGO IN THE LATE EIGHTIES.,HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS ONE AROUND?
