HIGH TIMES & NORML Join Forces for Texas-Sized Fun-Raising
Book signing and after-party in Austin on Saturday, March 14

Join Texas NORML and HIGH TIMES Senior Editor David Bienenstock this Saturday, March 14 at Brave New Books in Austin for a book signing and marijuana legalization fundraiser. Bienenstock, an editor at HIGH TIMES since 2002, will read from and sign copies of his new book, HIGH TIMES Pot Smoker's Handbook (Featuring 420 Things To Do When You’re Stoned), and will also answer questions from the audience.
Proceeds from this event will support Texas NORML's efforts to re-legalize cannabis in Texas. Please arrive early, as space and time are limited.
Also, check out the official after-party at The Amsterdam Café, hosted by Outgrow Big Bro, featuring music from The Contrabandits, Jodi Adair & The Jitterbug Vipers. The event will also feature a silent auction and raffle to raise funds for The Second Annual Texas Cannabis Crusade on May 2nd.
Fundraising is especially important in Texas right now, as there are two major pieces of legislation in committee, needing attention. HB 164 would provide much needed protection for doctors who recommend, and patients in need of, medical cannabis in Texas. HB 902 would reduce the penalty of the possession of less than one ounce from a class B to a class C misdemeanor.

We will either grow our own marijuana,or hire gardeners or skilled persons to maintain our own personal gardens,so that we can be 100% sure that our money is not going too any
terroristic or unlawful activities by anyone. We will donate
any excess too a local community pot bank for medical use.
We promise too spend the money we now spend on marijuana in the American economy. We believe this will do more for the economy than letting the government collect taxes and use it
responsibly, like they have now for so long,and we believe
it will help the economy more than if big business makes money from it and continues with their present practices
with money. We will BEAT the CARTELS,BEAT BIG BUSINESS and we will do it with a hoe and a water can.
STOP the BUY GROW YOUR OWN
If you can live with that pledge,copy/paste it too your federal and state reps,and yes,too OBAMA too.

I have so much more to say but Ill hold back for now and save it for a rainy day. I am a pot advocate/hustler from New Orleans who has recently moved to Austin. I have has such a hard time finding people who are on my level and dont give a fuck about the government or the ignorant laws they try and impose. I dont give a shit, I make my own rules, and I am here to fight back against the system that tries to drown us in our own misery. WE WILL RISE, WE WILL UNITE THE WORLD IN PEACE INSTEAD OF THIS MISERABLE WAR STICKEN, POVERTY STICKEN WORLD THAT OUR GOVERNMENT INCUBATES WHILE THEY JAIL US FOR SMOKIN A MOTHER FUCING PLANT THAT GROWS NATURALLY.

drug czar but I missed our Secretary of State and thats the office involved with the mexican gov't fighting the cartels,or it should be,but I'm sure someone will tell him that the pot

pain reliever for the body. As far as I know,and I've searched the internet,there has never been a death certificate issued with pot listed as a cause of death. That is enough argument too put down any anti-drug cartel propaganda. And not all is in vain HU210,I managed too borrow the gas money and now if we don't get a freak ice storm or some other disaster, I'll be in Austin for this party. I wish HT was like it used to be,but nothing is. It was really a magazine for the head when it started,and now it's a commercialized rag,just like easyrider.
That magazine,like this one,was awesome when all the ads were in the back of the book and the pages were filled with stories and pictures of real peoples pot,and real peoples motorcycles. After looking at their list of pot prices yesterday,I predict a long and profitable life for the cartels. STOP the BUY,GROW YOUR OWN

busting them. As each state adopts new laws or decriminalize
their present marijuana laws,they no longer have too worry that the law they are passing is contrary to federal law when they allow medical pot in their state.
Along the border of Texas,N.M.,AZ,and CA,the locally based
cartels are committing atrocious,violent crimes on both sides of border and our gov't is gearing up to throw more of our money away trying too control them.
We are in the worst economic recession since the great depression in the 20's and we don't have the money to continue with the wars we already have going,much less a new one. We,the pot smokers of America,can defeat the cartels and organized crime and we don't need guns and gunships to
