Unsigned Bands: The Stone Electric

The Stone Electric:

Heavily influenced by the quintessential late 60s/early 70s rock and roll movement and bands like Faces, Humble Pie, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin, as well as contemporary artists like The Black Crowes and Lenny Kravitz, The Stone Electric began the journey as an unpretentious, straightforward rock and roll band in 2005.

Perhaps best known for lead singer Noni Crow’s distinctive voice and raw delivery along with lead guitarist Austin Crow’s reckless blues driven swagger, The Stone Electric achieves a new level of intensity that separates the band from others trying to replant the rock and roll seed.

As seasoned musicians and studious descendants of the rock genre, The Stone Electric understands the importance of chemistry and passion, which help create the band’s memorably unpredictable onstage performances and explosive brand of music. And, as evidenced by electrically charged studio tracks like “Tequila Mockingbird” and “The Elephant,” it’s clear The Stone Electric manages to capture the essence of their high-energy live shows on their self-titled debut album.

The Stone Electric is:
Noni Crow: Bass Guitar, Vocals
Austin Crow: Lead Guitar
Rich Matlock: Drums

I love this band! The best way to experience them is live. Noni has more soul than Aretha Franklin and more power than Steve Mariot. Noni is the real deal in an industry laden with cookie cutter pop princess who without their backing tracks are nothing more than puppets on strings doing what the puppeteer wants them to do. Enter Austin Crow the phenom guitarist who has been playing in bars since age 15. Austin plays with his heart on his sleeve. One can only assume that Austin was born with a silver guitar in his hands. His playing is fluent and exact like and artist with his brush on canvas. Check them out at any cost!

Wow...The Stone Electric! Where do I start? Their music is down and dirty, honest and raw. You can lose yourself in the mezmerising vocals, and be carried away by the amazing guitar playing! You must see this band live! Their intensity is rarley matched. A special treat for the true Rock n' Roller!

Very Organic Rockin Tunes...Noni's Vox Rocks reminiscent of the great Janice Joplin and Austins Jimi Page influence shines thru with his own twist added to it makes for a no frills rockshow..I dig the new stuff as well as the old. I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage a few times with these guys and they PLAIN and SIMPLE ROCK!Not to mention very good people..

Everything in the above paragraphs is true. Keywords are: passion, reckless, raw and swagger. In any order. I've been lucky enough to catch a few of their performances in the past couple of years, and they've blown me away every time - never have I felt shorted in any way. This, my friends, is rock and roll.
