If Wax was the most deserving group, then they would have won. Face it, more people like the AQ. Who wants to get high and listen to white guys rap about Regis Philbin and Amy Winehouse. The AQ is creating something beautiful, not just riffing and rhyming about cultural flotsam.

The Wax and T fans seem like a bunch of haters. That totally sucks but makes me extremely glad that the friendly folks who play for Absynth Quintet actually won this contest. I bet High Times is thankful also.

I want to congratulate Wax and Herbal T, themselves, on their very strong showing. I totally checked out your stuff, and while still loyal to AQ I am sure the exposure was very good and well deserved.

I hope the few rude fans of W&HT do not reflect the general sentiment of their other fans or the band.

Haters really do ruin it for everyone else.

The Absynth Quintet has the most original sound of all these bands. The tight arrangements, the acoustic backdrop with tasteful forays into electronic sounds, the original melodies and lyrics, I get high just listening to them.

I saw the Absynth Quintet a few years ago and they lit themselves on fire and stage dived. It was amazing. Their encore that night included passing out 1500 reefers to the crowd and rocking a 35 minute version of Legalize It. Hellz yeah.
