QUOTES:

Granddaddy Purps x Afghan Goo - $300
Sacramento, CALIFORNIA

“This is a great cross. It yields fat colas! Resin production is like none I've ever seen. Smells and tastes very fruity. This particular strain was developed in the foothills north of Sacramento.”

Sour Diesel - $500
Bowie, MARYLAND

“Great medicinal quality herb, tastes/smells like no other, stones like no other. Definitely an elite super strain.”

White Rhino - $420
Northampton, MASSACHUSETTS

“Grown in the hills of New Hampshire, these fist sized buds are so fluffy. The rich mountain air can be detected in the smell, which is quite a knockout. The taste is indescribable.”

Purple Urkel - $280

Eugene, OREGON

“I was just reading your March 2009 issue and I was amazed at the quote given from Eugene. $500-$550 is outrageous. I dunno who gave that quote but they are ripping people off hard. I live in Eugene and an ounce of dank indoor is $350 at the most and that's if you don't know anybody.”

Purple Kush - $440
Milwaukee, WISCONSIN

“This drop dead Purple Kush is candy-sweet delicious and aesthetically pristine, offering a silky smooth and jolly high. Worth every penny.”

I've lived both in Atlanta, GA, and Asheville, NC. The prices in these two cities are about the same. When I buy, I buy for personals and only get about a quarter-ounce at a time. This is what I pay for the quarters:

Headies: $120
Dank/Beasters: $90-100
Mids (which I don't smoke anymore): $30

OZ goes for $300-400 for headies, depending on how good they are and how much supply the person you're buying from has. For instance, if someone only has 2 ounces: they're going to charge you more. But if they have 2 pounds: they might give you a break, because they got a break when they bought that much quantity to begin with. Thus, they can afford to pass it on and still make a decent profit. The people who sell OZ's for $500 are assholes (and the people who buy from them are stupid). $500 per OZ is more than $60/eighth straight up! No price break at the ounce? Fuck that shit.

Finally, pounds (or elbows -- lbs -- l-bow. . ., as we call them) go for about $1000 for mids, $2200-2500 for dank/beasters, and $3000-5000 for headies.

I don't know if all that matches up with other people's experiences at all. I do know that heady bud is cheaper at music festivals, usually about $100 per quarter-ounce instead of $120. But that's because people who go to music festivals and sell weed are badass motherfuckers who want to share the love.

Peace

The reason some places r much higher priced than others is simply bcuz not everywhere is ideal growing region. Sum1 in an urbanized area has no grassy hills n mountains therefore it has 2 b imported from the better areas which brings forth travellng, risks, danger, etc... Now wit that bein said show me where the good sh*t is @!!!

hell yeah, whoever charging coke prices is just mean. green should be something everyone can enjoy, not sell there living room for a Oz. if someone i knew charged 500 a OZ then there would be no need to smoke it. So that means a LB would go for what 7000 YEAH RIGHT! lol lovin MD right now.
