Green Thumb is dedicated to fusing the rhythmic and lyrical brilliance of hip-hop with the harmonic and melodic sophistication of jazz into an innovative new sound. In order to accomplish this goal, Green Thumb has assembled a group of musicians whose backgrounds, collectively, span the gamut of American music.
This diversity gives Green Thumb the ability to truly bridge the gap between hip-hop and jazz, two purely American forms of music, that have historically created aesthetics through flexibility, improvisation and eclecticism. The band, composed of upright bass, drums, keyboards, guitar and trumpet, is led by two fearless emcees: Gainstaville, from Florida, and Killa Cali, from California.
With emcees from opposite coasts and a band of versatile musicians, Green Thumb takes hip-hop to the next level.
