The B Foundation:

***March 2010 HIGH TIMES Unsigned Band of the Month***

Southern California’s hottest rising surf roots/rock band, The B Foundation draws influence from reggae rhythms, teen angst, and the salty waves of the Pacific Ocean. With three albums under their belt and a growing fan base, The B Foundation has become a touring machine. Coming off a nationwide co-headlining summer tour with Ballyhoo!, the band spent fall 2008 on the road opening for indie giant Slightly Stoopid. The B Foundation also toured extensively in Japan earlier this year playing 12 sold out shows.

The stage is where the band truly shines and the infectious energy and passion of their live show is what sets them apart. Previous touring partners include: The Expendables, Barrington Levy, Eek-A-Mouse, Fishbone, Dirty Heads, Iration, Voodoo Glow Skulls and many more.

The B Foundation’s albums have been well received, and they’ve sold over 20,000 copies of their first two full-length releases The Deep End and Trouble Standing. The B hasn’t relied on label support to move records but rather their D.I.Y. mentality, a direct connection with their fans and word of mouth that always accompanies good music! An album of rare unreleased tracks “Bee Sides” is the buzz of the Internet and a brand new full-length album, Souvenirs, Novelties and Party Tricks, was just released in the summer of 2009.

The B continues to receive radio play across the country on both major alternative rock stations and college radio – particularly their singles “Spliffed” and “Rincon.” The band has also participated in countless on-air interviews and live performances.

Their music has been featured in all types of media including Bud Light using “Rincon” in their commercial for Van’s Triple Crown of Surfing, “Dirty Girls” on Margarita Wrestling/Amp’d Mobile cell phones, and “Say it in Sin” on Body Glove’s GPS Japan DVD. Compilations include: Sense Boardwear’s Poetry in Motion, One Big Family (Japan), Forever Free: A Tribute to Sublime, and Resin Music’s Surf Roots Volume 2 benefit for the USA Surf Team.

With their motto “Say No to Emo” and amazing live shows, The B Foundation has become known as the go-to band for good time party vibes.

The B Foundation is:

Patrick Stevenson: Vocals
Jason Moorehead: Bass
Tyler Lewis: Lead Guitar
Ian McGrath: Drums

The BFoundation are some of the coolest guys I have ever met. Down to earth, fun to chillparty with and play some GREAT music.

I see them every time they come to Oregon, and recommend you do the same when they come close to you!! Worth a drive if they don't come close enough! Check them out!

Oh and they deserve to be Hightimes unsigned band of THE YEAR IMO!!

Incredibly talented band putting a unique twist on my favorite genre of music. Being able to balance all forms of rock while throwing in dub beats from time to time is definitely soothing to the soul. Much love to this band, and I hope they make all sorts of fame theirs.

I'm a booking agent in Chicago that has had B-Foundation work with many of my acts. They are a great bunch of guys dedicated in delivering a great perfomance with great songs. Go out see these guys when they come to your town.
It will be worth the ticket price!

I love how the person below can't even type out his name. I don't think anyone is going to listen to someone who doesn't even have the balls to put down their real name. Afraid the guys will come steal your girlfriend, too? Oh, watch out!

Who cares?

These boys got talent beyond the typical reggae/dub band out there. They're fucking fantastic. Their music never fails to put on a smile on my face and a groove in my step. Not to mention life, they're more than amazing. And can I say, such a great group of guys. I've only met them once, but they had me laughin till the crack of dawn.
Gotta love the b foundationnnnnnnnnn!

Nov 8 2009, 11:30 pm

What kind of a name is Pirate Bob anyways? I'm thinking between that name and not liking B Foundation, which is a great band btw, that you must be getting bad bud from your dealer. Maybe even laced... Because those two things sound like straight up hallucinations to me...

KaseywithaK

Nov 8 2009, 7:41 pm

Best reggae rock band since Sublime. They deserve a lot more recognition, & I'm pretty sure that Pirate Rob is just bitter because The B Found guys stole his girlfriend. Sorry, bud, maybe next time... or not.
Nice guys, amazing sound, fun shows.
