Battle of the Unsigned Bands: HIGH TIMES Online Poll

Wed, Nov 11, 2009 2:22 pm

-

It’s that time again! We need you to pick the next HIGH TIMES Unsigned Band of the Month.

But it’s not going to be easy. Over the past month we’ve featured four excellent unsigned bands on HT.com. Only one will make the leap from cyberspace to the pages of HIGH TIMES Magazine – and we need you to choose!

Each vote helps determine what HT.com Unsigned Band of the Week becomes the next HIGH TIMES Magazine Unsigned Band of the Month.

It’s a battle of the unsigned bands, and you’re a judge!

The winner of this poll will be featured in the March 2010 issue of HIGH TIMES.

So, what was your favorite unsigned band from the last month?

Nothing from the archive this month. Just four solid bands, battling it out on the Internet for a spot in the mag.

So, which band will be the next HIGH TIMES Unsigned Band of the Month? You tell us.

Voting ends Monday, November 16 at 4:20pm EST.

Black Water Rising is the best band to come out of Brooklyn in over a decade! powerful melodic vocs, soulful riffs that take all four fingers to play and nasty nasty grooves!

I was at a show one time on 4th ave, and the BFoundation was goin all ape shyte, chronic smoke evreywhere guitars on fire and stuff.. And the bassist rolled in on a huge white horse with no shirt on, and he had a glass jar with magical nuggs that we all smoked...So yeah, i voted for them

For those who commented on Black Water Rising as being lame, I have to ask you a favor... please put your bong down. You have smoked yourself stupid.
It's either that or you were born deaf. (my condolences)

I saw the B-foundation when they came to play a show in nor- cal. The show was kick ass! I smoked the guys out with some of my finest crops after the show. There sound is unique and addicting. Good guys with the sweet sensi on the mind.

The Bfoundation is as tasty as it gets! True to the movement unlike the other bands in this contest. Mary Jane being the fifth band member they tour the nation with a dedicated fan following. Nice riffs-cool beats-and a whole lotta talent makes for a great live show!

The B Foundation is by far the most talented band out of all these acts. You can't beat their good vibes.

The B Foundation rocks, I can't believe other fans are getting on here and are actually trying to compete and talk shit about the B Foundation. This band is Los Gonjales Dispensary Blackberry Kush whil blackwater rising is exactly what the bulldog said below and yarn is the herb found in Texas, straight shwagg......roooots

Bfoundation is like a fat bag of Kush, dense popcorn nuggs, bursting with musical crystals and a fell-good rasta aroma

Blackwater Rising is shwag. Seeds and Sticks in a dirty metal pipe. If you have Blackwater Rising, clean your bong!!

Yarn is by far the best new band I have happened to come across in the past year. Both their albums are well constructed. (Empty Pockets rocks!) Love you guys and wish you much success. I know it is on its way; it's just a matter of time!

Are you people high? In my opinion Black Water Rising is the most deserving. They have a traditional heavy rock sound with thier own original twist. I took a listen to the other bands in all fairness and was not that impressed. I got the BWR Cd and it does not dissapoint every song rocks so put that in your pipe and smoke it suckas!

YARN is by far the best band on this list. This should not even be a competition. The other bands should bow out while they still have a chance.
