Unsigned Bands: Johnny Reeferseed & The High Rollers

Johnny Reeferseed & The High Rollers:

Three time Marijuana Music Award Winners, Johnny Reeferseed & The High Rollers, have been smoking up stages across the Midwest with their raucous and unruly live rock ‘n’ roll shows since they were founded by frontman and guitar player, Johnny Reeferseed, in early 2006.

With their own brand of rock ‘n’ roll, funk, country, and reggae they refer to as "Red Eyed Soul,” The High Rollers are helping spread the good word about cannabis with humorous but true to life lyrics, infectious hooks, and irresistible grooves.

After winning the Global Marijuana Music Award for Best Funk Song of 2008 with “Light 'Em Up” featuring none other than America's #1 marijuana rapper, Afroman, The High Rollers followed it up in 2009 by winning the American Marijuana Music Award's Best Pop Song and Song of the Year for “Brother Can You Spare A Dime,” a catchy little ditty about hard times without reefer.

Johnny Reeferseed & The High Rollers are currently working on finishing up their upcoming full-length album. In the meantime “Light 'Em Up” and “Brother Can You Spare A Dime” are available on iTunes and CD Baby.

Johnny Reeferseed & The High Rollers is:
Johnny Reeferseed: Vocals. Guitar
Jacob County: Guitar
Keef Hashman: Guitar, Keyboards
Beth Spaniel: Bass
Joe McGillicutty: Drums

They play hard and have fun and are all about making sure the audience has fun. They are a super great group of guys and deserve all the votes they can get!!!...:)

Hey Mr, Crap...if your going to talk shit about JRS and The High Rollers at least be man enough to use your real name instead of hiding behind a fake name like a little pussy boy. I bet you're too chicken shit to use your real name, punk ass bitch!

Johnny Reeferseed and the High Rollers are TOPS!!! Username "CRAP" seems to think they do not belong here. This just shows you how people will have different opinions on everything. It does not mean CRAP knows what CRAP is talking about. HAPPY NEW YEAR and support the cause, legalize marijuana, by supporting Johnny Reeferseed and the High Rollers.

To the guy that thinks these guys have no business being in this competition...these guys are really cool. They have recorded with Afroman and really know how to get a crowd going! Mr. Reeferseed and his gang are really smokin dudes!

As fine an entourage of high rollers as you'll ever find, and true, blue, honest to goodness good folk. Rump, shakin, psychedelic p-funk with midwestern flavor. Roll on Johnny.

It's funny that The Stones are brought up in reference to The Reeferseed. I believe that is actually Johnny Reeferseed's favorite band. All the guys are really cool and a great time to watch on stage. They have a ton of live videos on youtube. Check it out.

What a great band! Their live set reminds me a lot of the Rolling Stones with a smattering of George Clinton thrown in. They always have a good time and it shows. Check this band out!
