"Home Alone" Culkin Arrested over Drugs
Mon, Sep 20, 2004 11:57 am
The star best known for his role of the ingenious child who fends off burglars in the "Home Alone" movies, was arrested during a traffic stop on Friday afternoon on a highway in the city.
Culkin, 24, was taken to jail when a police officer said he found the star in possession of 17.3 grams (0.6 ounce) of marijuana and prescription drugs he apparently obtained without a prescription. He was released on $4,000 (2,200 pounds) bail on Friday night, after spending about two hours in jail, the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department said.
Culkin, who recently starred in the movies "Saved!" and "Party Monster" did not talk to reporters when he left the jail.
According to the arrest report, an Oklahoma City police officer pulled over a car speeding on an interstate. Culkin was a passenger in the car driven by a man from New York.
The officer asked Culkin and the driver to step out of the car after the driver, identified as Brett M. Tabisel, had given the officer permission to search the vehicle. The pair said they were driving from New York to Los Angeles, according to the report.
A search of the car revealed marijuana, the anxiety relieving medication Xanax as well as sleeping pills. The medication was in plastic sandwich bags while some of the marijuana was in a metal cigarette box, the report said.
The officer said the two were cooperative with the search and quickly surrendered the drugs.
Culkin's publicist, Michelle Bega, would not comment on the incident.

Have you actualy ever been to Canada?? ( B.C in particular) You will notice that every street in Vancouver is lined with coffeshops that serve the kindest herbs in existence ( except for the Emerald Triangle in Northern Kali-Fornia)in fact Vancouver has been named "Little Amsterdam", and the cops there don't harrass you like they do here. So do us all a favor, Visit B.C, go to a coffeshop, get B.O.Y.A ( Baked Off Your Ass)
and then try to tell us that Canada Sucks. Who Knows, you might not even want to come back.

Did they think the nice occifer would just let them go for being honest?!? Cops are kinda like vampires. They can't hurt you unless you let them in.
On the bright side. They were smart enough to have the xanax in something other than the bottle in whose name it was prescribed. That is if they don't rat that person out to get a lighter sentence. Since it is a federal offense to transfer any prescription drug to "any person other than the patient for whom it was prescribed."
Another thought... Driving from New York to Los Angelos,(that's kind of a long trip) with.... sleeping pills, sedative hypnotics, & the oh so relaxing marijuana? Hmmm. Probably sacrificed the scripts & weed so the high po didn't find his meth or cola stash.
Side note: All you nice people that help others hook up with their recreational substances...go to the NORML site and run off a bunch of the bust cards & hand them out to everyone you help out. Ask them to copy them & do the same. It WILL exponentially increase your odds of NOT getting busted.
So many people are nailed 'cuz they are not aware of their rights when being hassled by law enforcement. They mistakenly think(or are intimidated) that if they cooperate, the cop will "go easy" on them when the reality is that the cop most often doesn't have anything to charge them with untill they open their mouths and give him something to go on.
In most cases the best evidence for the prosecution is from the very person who is being charged. Ask any lawyer.
Get invlolved. NO peace, 'till we are truely free to enjoy our Rights as Citizens of The United States Of America, as outlined in the Constitution. "For the People, by the People."
The War on Drugs is a War on You. Know your rights. Stay informed. Spread the word. Fight back. Take back what was yours to begin with.
Your FREEDOM.
