14-times Olympic Gold Medal Winner Michael Phelps Caught with Cannabis Pipe

14-times Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps caught with cannabis pipe
THIS is the astonishing picture which could destroy the career of the greatest competitor in Olympic history.
In our exclusive photo Michael Phelps, who won a record EIGHT gold medals for swimming at the Beijing games last summer, draws from a bong.
The glass pipes are generally used to smoke cannabis.
And after sporting chiefs announced laws which mean four-year bans for drug-taking, Phelps’ dreams of adding to his overall 14 gold medal tally at the 2012 games in London could already be OVER.
Those dreams seemed the last thing on his mind when he puffed from the bong during two days of partying with students last November, a quiet time in the swimming calendar when athletes would not expect to get tested for drugs.
One party-goer who witnessed the star’s behaviour told the News of the World: “He was out of control from the moment he got there.
“If he continues to party like that I’d be amazed if he ever won any more medals again.”
Phelps’ aides went into a panic over our story and offered us a raft of extraordinary incentives not to run the bong picture.
It was on November 6, weeks after his Beijing triumph, that 23-year-old Phelps surprised students at the University Of South Carolina in Columbia by showing up unannounced at a house party.
He was visiting Jordan Matthews, a girl he was secretly seeing who was a student there.
Our source revealed: “Michael came to visit Jordan but ended up just getting wasted every night.
“He arrived with a group of girls hanging all over him. Jaws hit the floor when he walked in. You don’t get many celebrities in Columbia, so when Phelps comes to your party it’s a very big deal.
Obnoxious
“He didn’t know many people so you’d think he’d be a little shy. But he was loud, obnoxious and slamming beers from the get-go.
“Every girl wanted a piece of him and every guy wanted to be his best buddy. He couldn’t get enough of all the attention.”
As he basked in his hero status, Phelps knocked back beers and shots of spirits. And when a student offered him the glass bong engraved with red writing, he did not hesitate, says our source.
The 6ft 4ins athlete, in a white T-shirt and navy cap worn back to front, clasped the device in his huge hands and inhaled deeply.
Our source said: “You could tell Michael had smoked before. He grabbed the bong and a lighter and knew exactly what to do.
“He looked just as natural with a bong in his hands as he does swimming in the pool. He was the gold medal winner of bong hits. Michael ended up getting a little paranoid, though, because before too long he looked like he was nervous and ran out of the place.”

But the next night, Phelps was out partying again. The source added: “He was right back at it at Pavlov’s bar.
“Like the night before he was holding court, throwing back shots two at a time and pouring drinks to every cute girl.”
Drink has got Phelps into trouble before. In 2004, aged 19, he got 18 months probation for driving while under the influence.
His wild behaviour is in stark contrast to the grim regime which took him to the top of his sport.
He once described his life, saying: “All you do is eat, sleep, swim; eat, sleep, swim; eat, sleep, swim.”
Last night Phelps’ management team and the sporting world closed ranks over the scandal.
Taint
The US Olympics Committee, who have pledged to clamp down on drug use, refused to comment, as did USA Swimming and Phelps’ coach Bob Bowman.
More surprising still was the World Anti-Doping Agency’s refusal to comment, given that they introduced the four-year ban on sport’s drug users.
Phelps, who earned £4million last year in endorsements, has resumed training for the 2012 games.
But there were fears about his commitment when, weeks after the bong incident, he began dating former stripper Caroline Pal.
Phelps is represented by marketing giant Octagon, which works with huge brands such as Mastercard and HSBC. They admitted proven cannabis use would be “a major taint” on Phelps’ character.
Spokesman Clifford Bloxham offered us an extraordinary deal not to publish our story, saying Phelps would become our columnist for three years, host events and get his sponsors to advertise with us.
In return, he asked that we kill Phelps’ bong picture. Bloxham said: “It’s seeing if something potentially very negative for Michael could turn into something very positive for the News of the World.”
He stressed that the swimmer had taken 1,500 drug tests and never failed one.
Until now?

As of right now its still an open, undecided question. And while many waiting for resolution, you can either do what your stars( Nicole, Paris, Linsey, Britney, Brad, Phelps) do and ignore the law or you can try smoking something legal, or quit.
For those of you still seeking for new spiritual experiences I would recommend a Legal Herbal Smoking of such herbs as Salvia, Kanna, Wild Dagga, etc;)
More info on topic here: http://www.down-the-pipe.com/pages.php?pageid=2
You can also find there everything youll need to start smoking legal herbs and mixtures, pipes, bongs, and accessories;)
Hope this will help;)

Nearly one out of two Americans has used marijuana. This includes tens of thousands of prominent, highly successful Americans — including our current President. Michael Phelps should not be stigmatized nor condemned for private behavior that he, and millions of others, engage in on a daily basis.
The majority of the public, as well as those in the media, are standing behind Michael Phelps and so am I. I will no longer be purchasing Kellogg’s brand products until your company reverses its decision and reinstates Michael Phelps as your spokesperson.”
Thank you for standing up against the needless discrimination of cannabis consumers.

Hell, I know cops aren't the problem, but if they are the symptom then that is one huge rash on our asses because these are the people (mainly DEA) who bash down our doors and destroy peaceful propagating by organic medicinal farmers.
Michael Phelps has done a GREAT service for our cause, but realistically boycotting the enormous companies that involve themselves in these matters is just not plausible in this day and age.
We the people and the pot smokers of the United States of America need to just stop being so shy and scared about the fact that we DO smoke. It's already starting - the media is eating the marijuana hype right up and regurgitating our pastime as entertainment for us. I mean, look at "Pineapple Express"!
Just support this herb and offer knowledge to those who have none. Keep smoking! If we can continue the momentum of support for our cause then eventually states will decriminalize marijuana not because they "see the light" but because they DO see that they can make money through taxes off of the millions of daily smokers that reside in their state, that they have been WASTING money on arresting. (more than half of the people in public state prisons are non-violent drug offenders!)
If the state makes tax money off of dispensaries and the majority of states decriminalizes this drug, then the federal government will be forced to follow in suit in order to benefit from the taxes that the states are already receiving! It won't matter whether or not Obama said he supported decriminalization if we can keep influencing the ignorant and uneducated.
I'm not saying everyone should smoke pot. All I'm saying is it's just retarded (pardon my political incorrectness) to have to listen to people regurgitate information they heard on t.v. about a "drug" - nay, a beautiful exotic plant - that they know nothing about.
Knowledge is power!

Until we can come to the table in our "big boy" suit all we are doing is throwing ourselves on the floor for a nice little temper tantrum.
I have this nightmare that I'm going into battle for something I believe in when I turn around to find all the people on my side with bath towels tied around their neck like capes and slapping the bush's and the tree's with little plastic Darth Vader sword's. WHY do people spend so much time whining about the cops?
Cop's ARE NOT THE PROBLEM. Cop's are a symptom of the problem. The problems are the law's and the people we put into office. Did you vote? Did you really?
We need to quit being just rocks on the land and build ourselves into a wall.
My first suggestion is to boycott anyone who drops Phelps as a spokesperson. (We do not NEED Phelps to endorse our cause because he has already done it. He became a hero who on occasion smokes the weed. Let the man stack his green. The window of opportunity for an Olympic winner to rake it in can sometimes be short. Lower your eyes and kick a rock man. You worked your ass off for it I don't want you to lose out on a penny. Live the dream baby! Oh yea, thanks for the pic!)
If everything works out for Phelps then good, our work here is done.
But then we need to pick something out and say that for this day we will not purchase this.
What's your idea for a boycott for the day?
Just something that shows how big we really are.

HEEELLLLLL NO - to the infamous mr. 5-0. get a life. get real. get some knowledge. ignorance is NOT bliss.
pot-smokers of the United States of America:
don't get down that high times published this picture. it's GOOD that they did. if the picture had never leaked we would never have so much positive hype and hype in general surrounding the herb that we hold so dear as cannabis enthusiasts.
phelp's PR people WANTED that picture to never show up because they never wanted to have to come up with answers to questions like - if this is a one-time occurrance (an apparently regrettable drunken mistake), why is michael phelps smokin out of a BANGIN ROOR glass on glass full-of-class "water pipe" and not a bowl or some plastic piece of crap?
i am MOST disappointed that phelps himself has made a statement of regret about his actions already. understandable, i know - i'm sure he wants to go to those 2012 games pretty badly - but STILL!
IT IS TIME FOR THE MARIJUANA ENJOYING, INTELLIGENT AND RATIONAL ENTHUSIASTS OF THE WORLD TO UNITE!!

I'm sure that you are aware that even in prisons, there are people using drugs, including smoking the cannabis herb. Think about this for a minute. Let in sink in to your brainwashed psyche.
Prisons, where inmates are constantly monitored and controlled, all day, every day, have DRUGS in them.
What would America look like if the so-called "War on Some Drugs" was ever won? Would it look like a prison? Or worse?
Imagine the amount of control the government would have to exert in order to stop people from using drugs or smoking flowers. It's a dystopian nightmare, and not a place I'd like to live in.
This country is "serious" about the "pot problem" you think we have, Mass. Cop, to the tune of billions of dollars spent, and over 800,000 citizens arrested PER YEAR. And what has it accomplished? Only more prisons built and jobs for people like you. Wouldn't you feel better protecting innocent citizens from violence and preventing theft?
Obviously, we've seen recently that using cannabis doesn't prevent anyone from success. Cops, lawyers, doctors, actors, musicians, presidents and Olympians smoke it. Tons of responsible citizens use cannabis, and that makes Phelps a fine role model.

If we could muster this level of oneness we can make things happen. If nothing else we can get the media attention. We need nonviolent news time.
If the "far right" can do it to make us do what they want why can't we do it right back?

Daily I hear the complaint "why are there so many miserable people in the world?", usually from a pompous self absorbed dogooder who thinks their way is the only way. Answer: because people like yourself cram beliefs based in sheer foolishness down others throats. Morals be damned our forefathers brought forth this great nation to be undeniabley indentured to the freedoms of it's masses.

"He once described his life, saying: “All you do is eat, sleep, swim; eat, sleep, swim; eat, sleep, swim.”"
The guy worked his ass off! Give him a break! Besides, doesn't marijuana help to expand your lungs? The guy is in such great shape, that I doubt a little doobie now and then is gonna give him any trouble. If anything, all the drinking he's supposedly doing is the real concern.
Hopefully this serves to bring the kind of attention we need, to show how ridiculous it is that our society gets all worked up over weed. I realize the media could twist this into him "falling to his demise" or some BS like that, but we need to put our own twist on it and get the word out that weed is harmless, if we want the bud to become legal. We need to continue to tell the world that weed is OK! It can't hurt you!

To the other Mature adult :
I feel you have attempted to impersonate me . I don't mind , but it seems I have to explain what " bad choice " means .
Foegive me for singling you out but I feel its waranted .
If he was through competing and his preferences was of no consequence to him , then sure , he made a good decision or choice because he wanted to party .
BUT
Thats not how the story reads . If he was not ready to stop competing ( and that looks to be the case ) his CHOICE in the matter was bad . Its not like he had no say in the matter .
And pointing out that fact , does NOT condemn pot use . I'm not using big words here so pay attention .
If you choose / decide to smoke weed , and get caught doing it , its your fault . Nobody made you . You want it legalized ,thats fine , but until that happens it is still illegal.
I don't usually find I have to explain something this simple
Are you sure thats weed you're smoking ?
