The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers felt compelled to try marijuana because he was a huge Bob Marley fan during his teenage years.

The Mr. Brightside rocker has long since turned his back on cannabis because of its negative effects - but is glad he is not ignorant of mind-altering substances.

He says, "You're 14 years old, you start listening to Bob Marley, you've got to try marijuana. Now I know it makes me lazy and I don't like that."

It was a warm and fuzzy, curling up nest just for me, which happened to be on the side of a bottomless crevass.

It was about secret delights noticed by no one else and the sheer debilitating silent terrors of the flip side.

Creating your own reality was the order of the day, but the directions were in Martian and I only knew Venutian.

All in all it wasn't a bad place for an extended visit but I don't miss it at all.

I left that messy sanctuary behind a long time ago and I never went back.

Being an active contributor to the world has its own unbelievable satisfactions now.

I too nursed my own way back with the blessed sacrament. They never got a chance diagnose me or fill me up with their pills.

It truly is a gift for the healing of the nations.

I'm not a big Killers fan but I LOVE the Ganja!

... success story I know of! I'm so lazy I might have come to nothing at all if it wasn't for the Ganja!

Now when I puff the the sacrament I start to assemble things in my mind. I can't help it, the creativity just flows right through me from God.

I think about the problems in front of me and find solutions I wouldn't have thought of. My mind gets bigger, not smarter, but wider. Its called expanded conciousness.

Other times I take these mental assemblies and make them real. They are always a hit and I actually get well paid!

I wonder if my former "straight" bosses knew where the incredibly unexpected but straightforward solutions to corporate and technical problems came from... I wonder what they'd think?

Now I work for myself. I' keep coming up with winners on my own and I toke every single day and night.

The blessed gift is the antidote to laziness and the door to a wider perspective.

Maybe that person is not getting 8 hours of sleep. YOu can't argue with your body. You can take care of it with enough sleep at night.

Also, that person may have bad karma. Maybe they drank too, and smacked people around. In which case, said person will be depressed, and will NOT enjoy the herb, but would be lazy.

Fist of all you do not NEED to smoke weed just cause you listen to Bob Marley. My p.o. listens to Cypress Hill and he doesn't smoke bud. You can appreciate tha music without taking it as an instuction on how to live your life. Bob Marley isn't explicitly ordering you to toke in his songs. That's part of his life, so he put it on wax to express who he is and his experiences. In reference to tha lazy comment, it's tha opposite for me! I'm lazy when i'm sober and motivated when i'm stoned! It doesn't affect everyone tha exact same way.
