NORML's long-time supporter and Advisory Board member, and possibly America's most famous and beloved cannabis smoker, Willie Nelson is doing remarkable things to 'normalize' cannabis in the eyes of the American public.

If you support reforming cannabis laws, one can marvel at Willie, who, at 73 years of age, lives an honest and transparent existence regarding his enjoyment derived from decades of cannabis use. This summer alone Willie and his family hosted the first annual Willie Nelson & NORML Benefit Golf Tournament; provided VIP passes to NORML supporters for The Annual Fourth of July Willie Nelson and Family Picnic and Concert; Willie will appear on the cover of HIGH TIMES Magazine and he has just released one of the most [pro-marijuana] marketed reggae albums of all times.

Review by NORML's Executive Director Allen St. Pierre
Ten years in the making, Willie Nelson's journey into reggae represents the great diversity and ability of the singer/songwriter to embrace different genres of music. This is not Willie's first foray with reggae; one of my favorite recordings from last year is the duo of Toots Hibbert and Willie performing Willie's 'Still, still moving to me'. Great tune!

'Countryman' is, at times, a dark amalgam consisting of reggae, gospel and country.

Some of my preferred tracks on 'Countryman' include Willie and Toots teaming up once again to perform Johnny Cash's 'I'm a Worried Man' and Willie's interpretations of the Jimmy Cliff classics 'The Harder They Come' and 'Sitting in Limbo'.

I just got back from a trip to Amsterdam and had a fantastic time. The best place to buy your weed is Barney's Coffeeshop and the best weed there is named Willie Nelson!!! It won last years Cannibis Cup and rightly so - If you want a super duper high try a joint of willie nelson with a little of Barney's Rubble sprinkled on top - OUT OF THIS WORLD, not for the rookie!

Willie is cool. So is tommy chong. :-)
The country would be in alot better shape if willie and tommy ran things. I suspect war would be unheard of. Who would want to hurt the usa? Everyone in the world would love those guys. If only.

Even as a kid I knew that cat was cool! Tommy Chong was on "Entertainment Tonight" and he had a couple cool things to say about MJ. These two guys always make me lol when they start smoking in thier movies. Chong is going on tour with a bit all about smoking. Boy I'd love to see that in person freshly baked off my ass!

to grow legal in my home town I was trying to look up what they did in Uriah, CA, @their town meeting, but cant find that article from last week. What happened to it?

HELP!

I've always been a Willie Nelson supporter. I was wondering how to support the legalization of Marijuana without joining NORML. It's time for the people who have money to support the legalization of Marijuana and those who don't to stand up, stick together and educate all the public about the plant that doctors are calling the possible DRUG of the 21st Century! Peace!

Thanks Willie
