Pot Law Reform Rally To Take Place At Hearing For HIGH TIMES Associate Publisher, NORML Founder

The Massachusetts Cannabis Reform Coalition (MASS CANN) – the state affiliate of NORML – is planning a day of lobbying in conjunction with the Oct. 24 Stroup/Cusick hearing. They’re asking that marijuana law reform advocates gather outside the courthouse at 9am in a show of support for the two men. After a press conference immediately following the hearing, the group plans to march to the State House. At 11am, the group will assemble in Doric Hall and meet with representatives to lobby for local reform legislation.
The hearing stems from the arrests made at the Boston Freedom Rally – an annual event co-sponsored by NORML and HIGH TIMES that celebrates marijuana culture and promotes decriminalization/legalization. Stroup and Cusick were busted by a plainclothes police officer when they sparked up on Boston Common on a day that would end with more than 60 marijuana related arrests.
This marks Stroup’s second arrest (the other occurring 24 years ago) and the first for Cusick who told the Boston Herald, “I’ve been waiting 33 years to get arrested.” Then, referring to Stroup, “I told them I’d call my lawyer, but he got arrested with me.”
In 2006 a record 829,625 Americans were arrested for marijuana violations. That’s a marijuana related arrest every 38 seconds.

Ron Paul is republican.
Dennis Kucinich is a democrat though.
"we have laws for a reason?"
What reason should a cancer or aids patient die?
