Pack Your Bongs!! HIGH TIMES' 2006 Stony Awards Returns to BB King's with Massive Hits

Mon, Oct 16, 2006 12:33 pm

In lieu of a recent indescretion (some of you my have seen the scandalous weed-in-purse photo), High Times would like to extend a formal invitation to the 2006 Stony Awards on Oct. 24 to Paris Hilton, and give her a VIP (Very Important Pothead) pass to the anticipated ceremonies for a night of laughs and fun stoner banter.

Paris won’t be walking the green carpet alone. She'll be joined by a calvacade of stoner celebrities, including Stonys co-hosts Redman and Doug Benson, Adrianne Curry and Chris Knight, Charlie Murphy and Donnell Rawlins, Jeff "The Dude" Dowd, Penthouse Pets Krista Ayne and Aria Giovanni, James Toback and many more.

The Adam Sandler’s comedy Grandma's Boy leads all movies with six nominations, including Best Stoner Movie, Best Actor in a Movie, Best Pot Scene in a Movie, and Best Song in a Movie or TV Series. Haven, starring Orlando Bloom, snagged four nominations, and A Scanner Darkly and Stoned are both nominated for three, making them the other front-runners in the movie categories. Showtime's marijuana-friendly series Weeds received eight nominations, including Best TV Series, Best Actress in a TV Series, Best Actor in a TV Series and Stoner of the Year. HBO's popular series Entourage received four nominations.

The 2006 Stony Awards will take place at BB King's, located at 237 W. 42nd St. Ticket prices are as follows: $30 in advance, $40 day of show and $150 VIP tix.

Stonys Schedule:

Photographers are invited to shoot celebrity arrivals on the "Green Carpet" from 7-8:30 pm. Please arrive by 6:45 pm.

Doors open at 7 pm. DJ Stretch Armstrong will keep the party jumping from 7-9 pm.
