Kottonmouth Kings Fire Up Fall Concerts

The Kottonmouth Kings are gearing up for a late-fall roadtrip that backs the cannabis connoisseurs' forthcoming rarities compilation, "Koast II Koast."

The outing--which will also feature Subnoize Souljaz, Boondox and Potluck--launches Nov. 24 in Pontiac, MI, and stops are planned in about a dozen cities by the time things wrap up Dec. 9 in West Hollywood, CA. The itinerary is included below.

On Nov. 21, Kottonmouth Kings offer up "Koast II Koast," a two-disc, 36-track collection that features b-sides, unreleased songs and collaborations with other artists, according to the band's MySpace page. The set will also include a full-length DVD dubbed "Hidden Stash III" that will house 20 music videos.

Before the tour proper gets underway, Kottonmouth Kings will play a handful of shows later this month, most of which are set in California. After that, they'll jet over to Amsterdam for an appearance at the annual Cannabis Cup, a three-day festival sponsored by High Times magazine. More information is available at the event's website.

Kottonmouth Kings are featured on the cover of the November issue of High Times, a development that the band is extremely excited about, according to a recent post at its MySpace blog.

"Christmas came early for the Kottonmouth Kings!" reads the message. "We were shocked to open our mailbox and see the Kottonmouth Kings on the cover of the new High Times! That's right, after ten long years the dream of seeing the Kottonmouth Kings on the cover of High Times has finally come to fruition."

hookin up w/ a top producer isn't selling out in my book. as long as they don't go mainstreem w/ a huge record label they're alright. i doubt either would happen. they'll never leave subnoize, they pretty much built it.
