I hope democracy prevails and we do get a democratic president in 2009, hello healthcare and jobs that pay better and fair tax cuts and goodbye to aimless endless and senseless wars.

:o)

Jan 26 2008, 4:54 pm

Better get ready for a democrap then cause Paul ain't got a snowballs chance in hell .

hmm

Jan 26 2008, 12:35 pm

A moment of silence for Dennis Kucinich. He pulled out of the race.

A good man all the same...

If Ron Paul Doesn't win, I hope a democrat wins. Cause all democrats have pledged to stop imprisoning those with med cards.

Ron Paul

Jan 11 2008, 5:24 pm

Thank God for them welfare checks !

umm

Jan 11 2008, 5:19 pm

The irony is that if The Honerable Ronald Ernest Paul isn't allowed to save our country from didaster, that we still win. I mean after all, the federal government won't be able to pay any dea agent money to arrest the ailing folks in their wheel chairs, meaning that everyone could rest easy. Even though economic times may loom. Its kind of ironic to watch the greedy squirm as the stock markets quake.

to umm

Jan 11 2008, 1:57 pm

Of course he denies it .
Wouldn't you if you were running ?

ps thats a rhetorical question . Everyone knows you would .

pfft

Jan 11 2008, 1:13 pm

I Dont even have a job, much less a "cooshy" one, but i still dont like or trust ron paul, he is just irresponsible, he wants to ride a wave of hype about him "getting rid of" alot of important programs, some good some bad, but still, getting rid of them all. what do you think would happen next? we would have to replace them, and that costs time and money, none of which we can afford right now, not with the bills bush racked up. also, i dont think ron has the sheer brainpower to decide what to fix and how, most likely everything would be broken for a while after he gets rid of these programs, then he'd take forever to fix them, if at all. you fans of his seem to ignore the fact that he only talks about what he doesn't like, not how he would replace the important ones, or what he would actually do besides tear things down. we dont need another destructive president. we dont need someone who's only idea is a short sighted "tear it all down!" approach that he's had for 20 years without making a positive change. i mean if your still stuck on the same notes from 20 years ago with no elaboration and no progress, how can we believe that he is even capable of critical thinking? if he gets in the white house the only ideas he will have are the ones wispered into his earpiece or written on a piece of paper to be slid onto his desk. fuck that shit.

umm

Jan 11 2008, 12:36 pm

The smear campaign aimed against Ron Paul is proof that people are afraid that they very well might loose their cooshy jobs, and might have to seek out real honest employment, so they look for a scandel.

I'm not buying into that.

Ron Paul 08!!

umm

Jan 11 2008, 12:34 pm

Ron Paul didn't write the hate filled trash that the news media is accusing him of. He said he didn't, and I personally believe him.

Its just a smear campaign aimed at swaying the voters back into the crowd of disallusionment, war, depressionism, and liars.

Jan 10 2008, 3:13 pm

Ok .. let me demonstrate your logic by responding to last comment as you ..

What do you mean the only trouble . Don't you see children are staving in India and Politicians get in trouble everyday .

You see , that has nothing to do with the topic we are dicussing . I'm just not sure if you're really ....uhhhh .... having trouble keeping up . I don't want to be accused of picking on ..uhhh .. someone having trouble .

umm

Jan 10 2008, 3:07 pm

The only "trouble" I seem to be encuring is communication with you :-|.

I think our parity is set different, or maybe the stop bits are off. ;-)

Re: Umm

Jan 10 2008, 3:05 pm

lol ...
"Why bother to mention etc. etc. "
Because that doesn't answer the question asked or have anything to do with the subject being diccussed.
I wasn't aware you were having trouble . I apologize and will leave you alone from now on .

umm

Jan 10 2008, 2:58 pm

Why bother to mention the fact that al gore believes in clean air for all, and that may be a god given right, but as we see from previous posts, any attenpt to carry on a conversation is in vane as our advisaries want only to misconstrue our good true intentions, therefore, lets change the subject to something rather more plesant - shall we?

And

Jan 10 2008, 2:55 pm

Please stick with one ID .

Re: Umm

Jan 10 2008, 2:53 pm

Really ?
I was just wondering as your statement didn't appear to have anything in common with the subject that was being discussed .
OK , Could you expand on your conclusion that the re-count circus involving Al Gore has anyhting to do with "god given rights " or politicians selling freedom with lies ?

umm

Jan 10 2008, 2:49 pm

Ron Paul would give the states back their right to decide if it wants to tax for welfare programs or not. It would not make any program manditory. The private sectors would once again gain from less restrictions placed on them from over taxing, etc.

Freedom scares alot of you who don't know a great thing when you see it. I'm willing to make a sacrifice for freedom. From My observations of some of the posts below, some prefer to sit back and let the government become more and more broke. Take some responsibility and do the proper thing, and let freedom ring!
And stay green;-)

First off, forget those two terms, and start listening to what the politicians are saying. Also good to look at what they're doing. I mean, for those who think Democrat = Good, and Republican = Bad, they got you good! You know the old saying: "To divide and conquer"... well, they're dividing you anyway they can.

As far as I know, Edwards, Obama and Clinton are part of the CFR (Council Foreign Relations), and Ron Paul isn't. I don't think Kucinich is either. Do yourself a favour, and look up the CFR, who's in there, what they do, what they're planning to do....

Hey, High Times, where's Dennis Kucinich? He wants to end marijuana prohibition for adults and regulate it like alcohol. He should be on the cover, and officially endorsed by High Times. YouTube "Dennis Kucinich talks about drug policy", an excellent 5 minute video of him discussing his views on MJ, and the importance of distinguishing it from hard drugs. Don't vote for Ron Paul just because he'll end MJ prohibition, he is a REPUBLICAN and a very conservative one in many scary ways. If Dick Cheney ran for President in 2008 and promised to legalize weed, would you vote for him? Maybe we could bring back Nixon, remember him? Don't be a one issue voter. The Republican party has become unbelievably dangerous to We The People. It's baffling to me that High Times readers would even CONSIDER voting for a Republican at this point, especially after the last 7 years of Cheney/Bush criminal activity, gutting the Constitution, WAR, etc. Of course, Democrats aren't perfect, so you have to choose carefully. Clinton/Obama/Edwards are too easily influenced by corporate money and pressure, whereas Kucinich seems to be famous for being virtually immune to corporate influence ever since he was Mayor of Cleveland in the late 1970's. He is the most amazing politician I have ever seen. Check out dennis4president.com and YouTube him. He is an excellent speaker. By the way, feel free to boycott ABC and Disney for not allowing him in the New Hampshire debates. Fuck ABC (Another Bad Corportation) and Disney. Mickey Mouse is just a corporate RAT.

BWHAHAHA HAHA

Jan 7 2008, 10:05 pm

ROFLMFAO LOL LOL LOL ROFLMFAO You think "Dr. Paul" has any idea what he's doing? do you think he can even handle the things he said he'd do? he thinks he can fix it on the go, just take away everything we have now, to replace it with, well, he doesn't know yet. he will fuck up this country worse than bush did. we don't need amatures treating the presidency like a toy, we need someone to undo the damage bush has done, not someone to tear everything down and wait for someone to fix it later, which by the way, would no doubt lead to much deeper corruption, because the new positions of power would have to be filled, under a republican presidency...you call dems crazy, you think giving people health care is socialist and that we can't afford it?? We can afford it and much more, simply by fixing the bad tax policy of bush and by ending the War. Trillions of dollars that we dont even have are being spent on Wars and you want to bitch about how democrats want to spend money on health care??

Carpy

Jan 7 2008, 9:38 pm

With all do respect, the only way to move our country forward is with Dr. Paul. In order to move forward you need to better understand the foreign policy, monetary policy and of course the federal reserve. Dr. Paul represents true Americans who understand the Constitution and the reason why thousands of Americans gave their lives for liberty and freedom. You democrats are living in fantasy land, do you honestly think America can afford the types of socialistic policies you speak of? If we do not fix the flaws in the system, we are doomed as a nation. It's time to wake up America. Vote Ron Paul!

Brett

Jan 7 2008, 9:28 pm

Ron Paul is the best candidate we have to choose from. He wants to end the Federal Reserve, reject the national identification card, and to repeal the drug war. I am for anybody whos for that. His view on abortion aren't the best, but think about the worst thing that would happen. Roe VS Wade would be repealed and the states would be up to choose. A few states like Mississippi,Alabama, and Utah would probably ban it, and women would have to drive over the state line to get an abortion performed. Thats a lot better than leaving the 55% of people in prisons for drugs to rot. Freeing our friends and family that are prisoners in our own country should be priority, along with getting out of the middle east. This is America. This is shameful. Vote from your heart in the primaries. Secure Ron Paul a spot for the Republicans. Obama and Hillary are only gonna screw us over worse.

To all you Ron Paul naysayers, you may be right, he probably won't win because THEY won't let him, he would tear down all that THEY've built up to control us. But as long as Ron Paul's message of liberty and constitutionalism gets across, and people see the evil behind our banking system, then all is not lost, even if he doesn't get into office. The ideas and realizations that he has instilled into his supporters will not die with his seemingly longshot attempt to win back the country for americans, not the corporations or lobbyists. Inspiration means alot more than some of you think. His endeavor is not a pointless one. Thank god for Ron Paul, and his message. You want to call him a kook, go ahead. To me, he's nothing short of a patriot.

I'm going to vote for John Edwards, he is the cleanest candidate around. Have you seen his website? He's got some good ideas, and wants to fight corperate power and greed more than anyone running. I just wanted to give some balance to these posts, looks like im outnumbered by ron fanatics though, exept im only here to tell you who I am going to vote for, not who you should vote for, thats your call. Make your own choices. and dont try to make choices for others.

Who is "them " ?

"he only had 3% on the fox polls" ? I don't see that statement anywhere yet you refer to it as a quote ??

"and the 3% thing , well I explained this already , dumbass " ???? Really , when did you do that ? Do you know ?

" We got them so scared the the agents feel they must "

I'm not sure who "they " are supposed to be , but I'm sure they're laughing at you .
Is this what you mean by scared ?

"well , thats not going to happen " is that good or bad ? Any idea ? Come to this planet much ?

Vote RonPaul 08

Jan 7 2008, 2:22 pm

Ron Paul...! The only one talking about getting rid of the Federal Reserve System (which includes the IRS), the only one worth voting for.

But hey, I understand some of you are still lured towards Clinton or Obama. So let me give you a clue: CFR (Council on Foreing Relations). Find out what that group does, who's involved and who isn't, and this should give you a clue as to why you should vote for Ron Paul and not Clinton or Obama.

re: vote for ronpublicans

Jan 7 2008, 2:22 pm

Your the "agents" telling everyone that ron is some big hero, leading them right off a cliff, or to be exact, convincing people to waste their vote on republican strawmen. If we are the "agents" who feel they must come to this site, they why are all the Ron paul ads the FIRST ones to be posted? and also the most repetitive? and the most stupid? and pushy? and angry? plus most of the time, the R P agents post in completely unrelated topics with nothing more to say than "Vote for Rrr pppp, or else you don't want it legal". who's the real agent with nothing better to do? and while im here let me also say, on the colbert report ron was asked what he would get rid of and was told to raise his hand and keep it up until he named something that he wouldn't get rid of, but he kept his hand up the whole time, it started with the department of education, then homeland security, the department of energy, The IRS, FEMA, (so far so good right? he got some cheers for that one, but the cheers turned to silence when the list went on...)The UN, NATO, the interstate commerce commision,(then he starts cheering for himself as he raises his hand, because the crowd wasnt.) nafta, the WTO, then he says "get rid of 'em all!", sensing the crowd was no longer with him. when asked Unicef? he says "yeah, it would be my very last, we dont need it, we could do better in charity work, but it wouldn't be one of my targets, id go down here" lowering his hand a little, "where the children are" says stephen. also at the beginning he says, "with my help, he could become the republican Mike Gravel." that's about the best you'll get from him.

We got them scared! There only defense now is "Your voting Republican" and "he only had 3% on the Fox polls" Well truthfully there is no diffrence between Rep and Dem b/c they both want to control you. And the 3% thing well I explained this already dumbass. READ THE FINE PRINT on the bottom of that poll. IT CLEARLY SAYS only 465 Dems and 379 Reps were allowed to vote less than .01% of the voting population. We got them so scared that the agents feel they must come to this site to discourage us. Well thats not goin to happen! LEgalize FREEDOM! VOTE RON PAUL!!!

Sounds as though this article and forum has made alot of you agents's upset.

How could ANYONE EVER call The honerable "crazy" or a nut job? What scientifical reasonning is behind such filthy words being uttered about the only man who can save the world?

The REAL Nutjobs are the one who keep the government spending out of control, and watch as ALL big business moves out of the usa, and lock up sick grandmothers in wheelchairs with murderers. Those are the real sickies. They make political commercials, and post them as though they were news. This is the worst kind of "payola". They banned payola, so why isn't this banned?

the truth

Jan 7 2008, 4:24 am

medical narijuana is such a great thing on so many levels, first and foremost it helps those suffering to push through their hardships. but second off it will far down the line lead to legalization, once it has been tested for years by those who are lucky enough to be prescribed that medicine and found to be mostly harmless, certainly less harmfull then alcohol and tobacco it will legalized. but this path is going to be long and frustrating.

never will be legal...

Jan 6 2008, 10:45 pm

pot will never be legalized because those running the movement are stupid. bottom line. and this whole 'medical use' thing is really really dumb. everyone knows most people don't use it for medical purposes. so you hide behind this obvious lie and expect people as smart or smarter than you to believe it. not gonna happen. not to mention..pot makes you lazy. for most people this is the truth. procrastination is every pothead's claim to fame.

Mis-leading the public like that should be against some law. I heard on the radio that the oil tankers are writing out i.o.u.s. for oil. Its just a matter of time before economic melt down.

He has some good ideas, but honestly. You can't simplify the government to that extent given how geographically large it is. It's just not practical.

Besides, where does he draw the line at making the government smaller? A monarchy? A dictatorship? I'm just not willing to chance it. Obama '08!

this world is fucked

Jan 5 2008, 8:50 pm

every one out there needs to smarten up and think... we need to realize what the world is comming to. in the not so distant future our every move will be montiored by satalite, and by chips that will be mandatory. this is getting out of hand soon we will have no rights at all. u will not be able to piss without them knowing. u will realize but it will be to late. what is goin to happen is there is going to soon be a level of government that controls the world....
PS the war on terror is bull shit. its is all over bullshit. u dont think that "terrorists" actually hijacked planes and crashed them in to the towers, it was the government that did it this was done to put fear into the people. not only the american people but the canadian people to. same with the london bombings all bullshit dont by the government again... every one needs to stand up for there rights, and stop lettin them get taken away

Crazy? I don't know. I don't trust politicians. But I've heard him on youtube. And he's pretty consistent on his ideas and issues for all these years but if he does become president, (doubtful) i think he has a "good shot on getting shot" by ,putting people like the DEA, ATF, CIA, IRS, HOMELAND SECURITY, DRUG CARTELS , etc... out of work'
Crazy? naw. realistic? mabey.

crazy?

Jan 5 2008, 3:54 pm

crazy or not, you got to respect the dude for staying on message and relevant even after 20 years.

I wonder if you could find a video of any of the big party candidates from 20 years ago that is as consistant of a message as this.

Maybe he is crazy, but at least he runs on what he believes in and not by what is polling well.
