Snoop Dogg Busted For Weed Possession

In the latest of several brushes with the law, veteran West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg was cited for marijuana possession on Wednesday night (Feb. 20) in New York City.

According to the New York Post, Snoop was given a "desk-appearance ticket" outside a Manhattan nightclub for possession of the drug, but was not arrested.

"We are contesting the ticket," said Snoop's lawyer, Donald Etra.

Snoop faced some legal troubles early in his career, including a conviction for cocaine possession in 1990 and a guilty plea for gun possession in 1997, but walked the straight and narrow until 2006, when he was arrested three times for incidents at multiple airports.

Most recently, Snoop was sentenced to community service and three years probation for carrying a collapsible baton in his carry-on luggage at the JohnWayne International Airport in California.

Snoop's latest disc, Ego Trippin', drops on March 11.

Upset that Snoop Dogg ain't being vocal to legalize Cannabis because, that is the majority of American's favorite. Celebrities getting busted but, they ain't using their powers to change the laws or, run for office. The laws will keep busting if it is still there, why not change the Marijuana Law? Almost seems a publicity stunt anymore for this Snoop Dog enertainer.
I just dont support sanctions against adults for using drugs for whatever reason as long it does not directly involve minors. Shouldnt operate autos or heavy machinery while impaired either. But that is about it for limitations that I could accept.
