RIP Albert Hofmann

A poster on reddit today has announced that Albert Hofmann, beloved inventor of the best drug on the planet, passed away yesterday evening:

This isn't in the news yet. I'm from Basel and Hofmann lived close (in Burg). My friends mother helped to look after him, he died last night (of old age probably, he was 102).

You might not belive one source you don't know and who has no way to back up his claims but it's true. It will probably go public soon.

I'm posting this here as it has been confirmed to me by several sources within the community. Let's all take a moment to bow our heads in silence for the passing of a truly visionary individual. So long Al, thanks for EVERYTHING.

Thank you for the enlightment. Taking LSD changed my life as a teen. The experiences and thought exploration that the drug gave me, truly defines me as an adult today and provided a great insight into the human experience of life. I see some comments about how some of you would never take LSD....and thats a good thing. It's not for everyone.

I have never tried lsd and i don't plan too. I try to shy away from hard drugs like lsd,coke,crack...shit like that. Weed everyday,shrooms every now and then and a maybe a methadone or a script sometimes. Anyone who has had sex on methadones,OMG ITS THE SHIT!!!!

Hoffman gave this world an insight, and they destroyed it.

it is sad a human died but i cant condone use of lsd, as it is a harmful if abused heavily type of drug. if he was the father of marijuana, i would be greatly saddened but that isnt the case.
