BERKS COUNTY, Pa. -- A substitute teacher in Berks County has been charged with buying marijuana from an undercover detective and a student she had asked to help her get the drug.
Police said 53-year-old Susan Siegel, of Montgomery County, called an 18-year-old male student at Governor Mifflin High School out into the hallway during a business class Wednesday afternoon and asked if he could get her a half ounce of marijuana.Police also said she offered to give the student vodka to help set up the deal.
The undercover sale happened Thursday at the Queen City Diner."Our officers actually met in a car with this substitute teacher, sold $100 worth of marijuana and after that an arrest was made," said Berks County District Attorney John Adams.Siegel had been teaching the class for about a month.

The kid she bought from was another "deal maker" and was probably trying to get out of his own jail time. The only thing that's addictive with pot is selling the shit. Wads of (easy) cash can make high school kids do anything.

i want to see cops catching VIOLENT CRIMINALS not petty dope dealers peddling minor weight. if you wanna tell me you busted a dealer tell me you busted them with hundreds or thousands of kilos not a measly $100.
LOL to highjack

On the other hand, I think what the cops did is wrong legally. Any good lawyer will have a field day in court arguing that the cops action is tantamount to "entrapment". In fact when they pose as undercover dealers they were in possession and therefore during their course of action they entrapped the teacher - who is innocent all that time until the final transaction.

Dude, the people here at HighTimes have been saying that for 70 years.
In fact, no one here would even be on this site if we didnt agree that Marijuana should be legalized.
Though I personally think that all drugs should be legalized, the government shoudlnt have a say so in what we put in our bodies. And tobacco and alcohol shouldnt have a age limit.
