Police Seize $11,000 of LSD Possibly Headed for Bonnaroo

A routine traffic stop by a Murfreesboro police officer Wednesday led to the arrest of a La Vergne man for possession of 637 hits of LSD.

Louis Roy Wilbur, 21, has been charged with felony possession of a Schedule I substance and two counts of violation of parole after Murfreesboro police officer Scott Baker stopped a car driven by Robert B. Covert, La Vergne, for speeding. Wilbur was a passenger in Covert's car.

Baker originally stopped Covert at a Shell Station on Northwest Broad Street.

While speaking to him, Baker said he noticed the back seat passenger, later identified as Wilbur, "trying to conceal a plastic baggy under his left leg."

Baker reported that he asked the two men to exit the vehicle and, upon further inspection, he located the LSD.

Wilbur was arrested and transported to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office. He is being held in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.

Covert was issued a citation after a license check revealed he was driving on a suspended license. He was also issued a warning ticket for the traffic violation.

Murfreesboro Police spokesman Kyle Evans said it is possible the men were headed to the Bonnaroo music festival in Manchester.

"That is too many hits for someone to claim personal use," Evans said. "Acid is usually sold in certain quantities. One quantity is called a bible, which is 1,000 hits.

"We're not sure how much of the acid Wilbur was carrying has already been distributed, and he is not cooperating with investigators."

Evans said the confiscated LSD was worth approximately $11,000.

Wilbur is scheduled to appear in Rutherford County General Sessions Court on Aug. 6.

Here in the hearland, "good" cid is hard to come by. More often then not if it's cheap, it's very weak in potentcy. I haven't seen any blotter going less then $7 since after 2003 and that was bought in Kansas City..

But I knew plenty of people who knew higher-ups, and they got it for 3 a hit easy. This is in Florida.
In North Carolina people will pay an easy $25 a hit.
So for those who want to make money trafficking,
move LSD from FL to NC, its only a 12 hour car drive.

Acid is US$20-40 a hit here in Brisbane Australia, and thats when it's avaliable which is not all the time. If I could find acid for $5-10 a hit I would be tripping all the time :)

book= 100 hits= 100,000 micrograms= 100 millagrams
bible= 1,000 hits = 1,000,000 micrograms= 1 gram (which is why it is called a bible!)
-also the prices are way off. each hit in IL is $10 tops ( heard of $15 but from shady high school kids ripping eachother off at raves) and that includes no discount. never even heard of a sheet beiong over $500 ( $5.00 a hit) and up until around 2001 2002 it was $125-250 ( $1.25- 2.50 a hit back then). and im sure the discount is much greater then half if you get a 1000 hits.

When transporting anything illegal:

I really dispise the fact that certain factions refer to a person excercizing there right to remain silent as uncooperative. I feel that this libel should be reviewed and a new standard be set on what government factions are allowed to well make up. We all know that the police always take anything you say and turn it around to seem guilty. So the wisest thing a person can do in such danger is to keep silent yet then you are accused of more crimes for excersizing your rights.
