Cruise Ship Passengers Allegedly Caught with $2 Million in Cocaine

Call it high times on the high seas. The buzz out of Britain this morning is that authorities have raided one of the country's largest cruise ships and arrested four cruisers for allegedly smuggling cocaine.

The Times of London reports that British customs officials who boarded the 1,952-passenger P&O Arcadia Sunday after it docked in Southampton, England found around $2 million worth of the drug strapped to the bodies of the cruisers -- all from England.

The 3-year-old ship had just returned from a 23-day cruise around the Caribbean where it made calls in Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, Barbados and other islands.

The Times quotes a P&O Cruises spokesperson who says this is the first time she knows of passengers being arrested for allegedly smuggling cocaine.

The Times says Natalie Ellen Quinn, 26, Camille Danielle, 19, Calvin Neil Hylton, 41 and Briony Marie Dyce, 25, all of Manchester or Birmingham in England, have been charged in relation to the seizure and are expected to appear in court today.
