HERMAN, MINN. - Deputies investigating a sewer problem at a Herman home smelled something amiss -- a strong odor of marijuana.
Grant County Sheriff Dwight Walvatne said deputies went to the home intending to cite the owner for failing to connect to the city's main sewer line, in violation of a public health ordinance.
After noticing the smell of pot, they obtained a search warrant and found what they described as a large, indoor pot-growing operation.
They seized an estimated $10,000 worth of marijuana along with equipment to grow it and charged a 21-year-old man with two felony drug counts.

You that think bureaucrats are the problem are no less guilty of making pot smokers look bad. The issue is truthful education about marijuana. There are too many of the older generation that were influenced early by misinformation about our herb. We all know alcohol is more harmful than marijuana. When has marijuana ever caused a death due to useage? Right, never. It was films like "Reefer Madness" that spread the false ideals about fake dangers of weed and those older folks (like many in congress now) bought it hook line and sinker. Once they die off, it will be easier to mold legislation toward the legalization of pot.
