Jackson was Spending $50,000 Per Month on Prescription Drugs: Report

Source: newkerala.com
London, June 30 : Pop legend Michael Jackson was battling with numerous disorders and was spending 30,000 pounds (50,000 dollars) a month on prescription drugs like narcotic pain relievers, muscle relaxants and anti-depressants before his death.
The ailing "Thriller" star, who died last week, was said to have consumed "mountains of medication" as he battled numerous disorders in the year leading up to his death, reported thesun.co.uk.
Along with narcotic pain reliever Vicodin, 50-year-old Jackson gorged on other drugs like muscle relaxant Soma and sedative Xanax, antidepressant Zoloft, anti-anxiety drug Paxil and heartburn pill Priolosec.
The revelations on the true scale of the tragic star's pills habit came as his family said they now wanted an investigation into the quantity of drugs he was prescribed.
"They suspected the drugs were harming Michael - but not as badly as this. What is crucial to them is not the drug types Michael was taking, but the quantities he was taking them in," said Brian Oxman, the Jackson's family lawyer.
"This is a huge and major concern. During Michael's court trial he was taking 40 Vicodin a day - and this may have even increased. Its an insane amount of drugs to be given and to be taken," added Oxman.
Some of the King of Pop's prescriptions were allegedly written by his Beverly Hills dermatologist Arnold Klein. Most were taken from Jackson's local drug store Mickey Fine Pharmacy.
Many prescriptions were bought under the fictitious name Omar Adams, claimed to be a name Jackson devised for a fictitious alter ego. The cost of the superstar's spiralling prescription drugs usage led to a number of lawsuits.
In 2001, he was sued by Mickey Fine Pharmacy for arrears of about 7,000 pounds on his account.
Jackson also owed Klein around 18,000 pounds at the same time. And in 2002, lupus specialist Allen Metzger claimed that the singer owed him 16,000 pounds.

Please don't quote me on that, as I'm sure 1/2 the words are wrong, but someone a little older, or with more memory will tell you what the name of the song is.
In my parents generation, the "little helper" was Diazepam, aka - Valium, was the drug of choice. Just a little to help me through the day. Well, we know how these "legal" drugs turn out, as with any drug. 50% of the population wants some. Dr.'s haned it out like candy. And you junkies are gonna call me a criminal?
My mother, despite her ardent hate for weed thanks to the Catholic Church and Amerigan Gov't, has, for my entire life (since 11) been telling me I'm a sociopath and criminal (thanks Mom!) for not adhering to THEIR laws, and finding comfort and solace with weed.
However, luckily, she didn't buy into their "legal drugs" scheme herself, and never took a pill she didn't absolutely need. Now, at 90, she's on like 30 of them. But she always tried to get me on something other than pot. "You must have a chemical imbalance, they have a pill for that. Why do you hate the Catholic Churh so much, they have a pill for that. Why do you believe these Draconian laws shouldn't apply to you, they have something new...".
I don't want anything new, synthesized this, GMO's that, irradiated foods? I will stick to the oldest and safest medicine on the planet, which requires no human intervention or intolerance. But, she will not unplug from The Matrix, did you see the movie? Horrible shame to have such a wall between us, never allowing a real relationship to develop. Thanks America! You sure fucked with her head good.

Hopefully some will watch the Matrix, and catch the many inferences to gov't, cheaptricks, perception, willingness to sacrifice for others in order to save the species as-a-whole, for all creatures of this planet.
The Architect - God, The Oracle - Mother Nature, Neo - Thomas Paine, and everyone "plugged in" has the opportunity to unplug, open your eyes, and listen to the voice deep down in you gut telling you, "tis the right thing to do".
Not likely, but it sure beats the 10 commandments, cuz nobody is adhering to that, ESPECIALLY THE CHRISTIANS who traveled the globe and stole all the gold, and killed all in there way, and those who would not convert.
Good thing you have your own self-funded retirement plan, but 100's of millions will not be so lucky. Hopefully, I can start soon. It has been, and will remain to be, the only profession I will ever take seriously on this continent.

But, in my defense, and a slight deflection, I am currently out of any "reasearch little helpers". Paity sure sucks. But I hear lab3 has little helpers crawling outa the wood-work. It's nice to share ya know, hopefully we can all be neighbors someday.
Why Mexico locale? 35 years of fiduciary negligence! Approved by Congress.
CA real estate - cost prohibitive, or I'd be there now!
FL real estate - as much as $1 million per acre where I live - NO FUCKING WAY!
I unplugged from the Matrix a long, long time ago. While watching cancer take my father, after he broke his back raising all of his kids - the result of Catholic Rhythme. Having to take care of him, at age 9, feeding, changing, bed-pans, etc. until he shriveled to 88 lbs, and died. Then, while in high school, attending college at night, working 3 part-time jobs, REAGAN CUTS MY $180 SOCIAL INSECURTIY CHECK???
Do you think, then, that I'm gonna pay $200,000 for an "education" from Americans? Buy a house for $500,000, and pay $2,000,000 after interest, while someone steals my pension, and 401k, LEGALLY. I'm surpised anyone is that stupid, yet ask the most educated people on the planet how their pension is doing - IBM, GM, ETC. ETC. Ask them.
Thank you Neo, "There is no spoon", it's just I saw it 35 years before the ones still plugged-in. Thanks to Hightimes!

"So put the canal on hold tree man- any hemp knowledge? Uses?? Truth to replace lies about the blessed buds???
How about an industry of residential growhouses, nothing huge but an avenue to give people to supplement/save their financial integrity"?
Hightimes has been publishing all that information for decades. 75% of the states still have their hemp stamps on the books. But, until you remove the risk of me spending the rest of my life behind bars, you will see no economic gains from me.
The canal is all part of that. It's the best place on the planet to grow pot/hemp. You'll also notice that my plan calls for the requirement to grow 2 acres of hemp or bamboo per acre of bud. Where do you think that's going? Right back into the economy. Cheaper, renewable, CARBON NEGATIVE alternatives to their petro-shit CARBON INTENSIVE industry.
Better construction materials, super insulated homes requiring 0 heating and cooling. It's all out there, you just have to grab it by the balls. Millions of new businesses will be the result. Grow shops, head shops, retail bud shops, compassion centers. 500,000 new farms, IN AMERICA? Then, when you're crop comes in, you build a house, and get some neighbors, soon Walmart, Home Depot, hospitals. IT WILL BE THE SAVING GRACE OF THE ENTIRE GLOBE!
All the scraps, all grass clippings, all lawn debris, branches, trees, anything Mother Nature grows, can be turned into Ethanol to fuel your farm equipment. It's a wonderful cycle she has built for us, we're just to ignorant to employ it. While Mobil/Exxon makes 1.3 BILLION PER YEAR IN PROFITS.
But instead of "common sense" practices, spelled out by Thomas Paine 300 years ago, we're convincing 3rd world countries to grow more HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP FOR US, 300 MILLION OBESE DIABETICS, instead of growing food to feed millions? You have any idea of how many people are going to starve because of MONSANTO, CODEX, HR BILL 875, FDA BILATERAL AGREEMENTS ON TRI AND QUADRALATERRLS? CHINA IS GONNA GROW MY FOOD - FUCK THAT!
You also have 30-60 million new tax payers. Trillions of dollars saved in time and deisel = cheaper prices for consumers. Now $100 will get you 3 pairs of sneakers, instead of 1 sneaker. What good is 1 sneaker.
Just need SENSI-ble legislators in the White House, instead of them money-hungry elitests that ain't worth the air they breathe. Now you see why I refused to be "educated" by Americans? It's much easier for me to learn what matters to me, than to try and un-learn the shit they shovel. Think Einstein said that too, "don't let an education get in the way of your learning". He dropped out too! It's hard to focus on what matters, while your memorizing all that useless shit they call an "education".
Thomas Paine and Thomas Edison. You don't need much more, except food and pot.

to: newagecitizen.com or New Citizen Cain?
I saw your post in Hightimes, and visited your site, and was initially intruiged? Pot and politics?
But after browsing for a few minutes, found myself questioning how you intend to achieve the goals or fund these movements.
I don't think your membership fee will cover it.
Just a few observations that may help further you cause;
don't model our immigration policy based on other countries, America is supposed to set global policy, not follow it.
playing the "immigrant card" is a pathetic attempt to grab the attention of the frustrated and desperate. It's no excuse for not being able to come up with real solutions to real problems (and 100 years of bad policy) with real funding and legislation, and a million new jobs, as I have.
Unfortunately, the aristocracy of this country (property owners) was built upon slavery. But became a Super Power because of immigration, and will continue to do so long after we're dead. Not to mention the most obvious - HUMAN CIVILIZATION IS THE RESULT OF IMMIGRATION, MIGRATION - except for the endemic of Africa/India.
don't make personal attacks on the US President - attack his policy, not his character (which has yet to be determined)
I'm sure you're not a constitutional lawyer, nor will you ever be commander-in-chief., despite your 2012 hopes. As I am sure he's not, "Obama is the most prejudiced President in US history ". You base your surmises on what study?
And we don't need a massive Energy R&D project, the technology is already there, we just refuse to manufacture, so Germany and Japan are the only ones cashing in on our research.
Here are some of my ideas, feel free to steal and cash in on;
Medical Insurance covers it, without a Dr deeming it appropriate, or building a database of "registered users" losers that will pay when the DEA hacks the data, or will be denied an organ transplant cuz, "your medical ID thumbstick indicates you're a pot-head".
50% tax on recreational sales
50% tax on commercial bud sales
0% tax on personal consumption-we don't pay tax on anything else we grow for personal consumption (but soon you will if you don't vote no on Bill HR 875, google it, google CODEX)
You have to grow 2 acres of hemp or bamboo per acre of bud
0% tax on donations made to compassion clubs (I'd freely give half of my crop to the terminally ill, who pay nothing cuz the shop only needs a little money to hand out donated weed)
Build a canal from Baja to Brownsville 600' wide by 100' deep;
30-60 million new tax payers, stop the buy, end the violence, create 1/2 a million new jobs, take half of the semi's and trains off the roads, and procure the best place on the planet to grow pot/hemp! Cut the travel time in half again, first is was Cape Horn (crazy mother-fuckers!), then Panama, now Baja!
That means you can buy 3 pairs of sneakers for $100, instead of 1 sneaker. What good is 1 sneaker?
....but is that really what the gov't wants?
Keep puffin...(that doesn't mean = cage penguins)

Weed, as I have been a smoker for 25 yrs in sacred. I saw the war on drugs from inside of the BOP for 8 years as a nondrug offender- a nation "selfdestructing". Saw countless decent, good people given much more time than an axe weilding child molester will ever get.(but heh, prison industry is strong & growing, right behind "servicing debt".
So we have a grave injustice which also happens to be an untaped cash crop w/more industrial avenues than just about anything. So put the canal on hold tree man- any hemp knowledge? Uses?? Truth to replace lies about the blessed buds??? How about an industry of residential growhouses, nothing huge but an avenue to give people to supplement/save their financial integrity????
* on a side note, can you explain the jew haters? in particular their hatred of lesbians? Now the thought of 2 young women frolicing in sheets has always been one of my favorites, actually about at the top of the list, so...?

The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind. Many circumstances hath, and will arise, which are not local, but universal, and through which the principles of all Lovers of Mankind are affected, and in the Event of which, their Affections are interested.
The laying a Country desolate with Fire and Sword, declaring War against the natural rights of all Mankind, and completely destroy the Defenders thereof from the Face of the Earth, is the Concern of every Man to whom Nature hath given the Power of feeling; of which Class, regardless of Party Censure, is the benefactor and creater of this work
SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins.
Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher!
Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one: for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same miseries BY A GOVERNMENT, which we might expect in a country WITHOUT GOVERNMENT.
Here then is the origin and rise of government; namely, a mode rendered necessary by the inability of moral virtue to govern the world; here too is the design and end of government, in plain view for Freedom and security.
And however our eyes may be dazzled with show, or our ears deceived by sound; however prejudice may warp our wills, or interest darken our understanding, the simple voice of nature and reason will say, 'tis right.
No country on the globe is so happily situated, or so internally capable of raising a fleet as America. Tar, timber, iron, and cordage are her natural produce. We need go abroad for nothing.

But, if we're not economically, and ecologically sustainable, what's it all for? By the time we're in diapers this country will be bankrupt. What then? Move to El Salvador?
Sorry if I harp on the canal too much, I just think it's something that a Senator, with balls, should've done 100 years ago. Imagine? 30 million new tax-payers for the past 100 years? Zero border violence? And the best place on the planet to grow pot! It'd be 60-90 million Mexican-now American residents of Baja, USA, Cannibas capital of the world.
I already have to work until 80 to collect social security. By then, with American inflation at 17%, we will barely be able to buy diapers and cat food - AND NOTHING ELSE.

the umm syndrome, after you too. Can't imagine who you pissed-off, you seem too mature for that. The real umm, the one with the heart icon (nice trick, is there a way for me to enter hexadecimals too?) usually sides with lab3. So, if you see 'her' blasting lab3, you know she's a fake.
And lab3 has only blasted me twice, admittedly deservingly. Once I was testin him, the other was a simple typo, and umm usually sides with him.
If I had to guess, and I really despise having to try and keep track of who is who, I'd say it's xxx999, back to haunt me. Plenty of criticisms, laconic surmises mainly, but offers society no real opinion of their own, or propose any ideas for real change.
On a lighter note, happy 4th VA - home of the first US President, and first "richest man in America" (albeit, from slavery).
Bring back THOMAS PAINE. Perhaps, the single most important figure in the American Revolution, responsible for single-handedly uniting this nation - and how did this nation treat him? Read your history, or just read about our international relations. Not much has changed, 250 years!

Well, you must be infinately more patient than I, cuz I'm from the class of'80, and am leaning more toward lab3's resolutions, revolt!. Should be apparent, especially when I start using profanity.
I've been vehemently smoking pot since 11. Always preached non-violence(probably hyper-sensative, OCD). Labeled a sociopath by my catholic family, cuz I don't respect these draconian laws imposed on a now global scale, while they try to patent a plant, and refuse to consume their "legal drugs".
Meanwhile, 80% of them, along with 50% of America, (I think this is lab3's) "must use pot to numb their throats the way they shovel down "legal" psychotropics", and call me a criminal?
So, naturally, when arrested at 18 for 1 joint, I did what any REAL pot smoker does, laugh in the judges face - and plead guilty. They think they're hurtin me? I didn't pay 200,000 for their lame college education, didn't bank any money for Bernie Madeoff to steel, and now that all my forecasts have come to fruition - I didn't lose a fuckin penny as a result of REAGAN-OMICS, unlike MILLIONS of "educated professionals"? Doctors, lawyers, engineers, the most educated people on the planet. They swallow willingly, and beg for more with the Patriot Act.

That they glorify a pedophile with too much money doesn't surprise me
and the fact that Jackson paid out #122 million in lawsuits to parents of children he molested sickens me because after the first lawsuit, who didn't know that he was sick? Every suit filed after the first one was brought up with the parents knowledge that they were sending their children to be molested by him so they could sue and get rich. Their names should be listed so society can shun them the rest of their lives.
