MAPS Psychedelic Science Conference Tickets Available

Psychedelic non-profit's event brings Rick Doblin, Alex Grey, Andrew Weil, Ralph Metzner, Stanislav Grof and leading psychedelic scientists together in San Jose, California - April 15-18

MAPS, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, has announced its international conference on psychedelic research. The conference will bring together international experts on psychedelic substances and will be the largest such conference to take place in the United States in 17 years. The conference will feature three concurrent tracks, including a Continuing Medical Education track reporting on clinical research, a second on ayahuasca, and a third on psychology and a wide range of related topics.

The Psychedelic Science in the 21st Century conference is open to the general public and registration information is available at www.maps.org/conference. The conference also has been accredited to offer Continuing Medical Education credits to physicians and Continuing Education credits to psychologists, nurses, and social workers.

Psychedelic Science will offer pre- and post-conference workshops with Stanislav Grof, M.D., Rick Doblin, Ph.D., Michael Mithoefer, M.D., Annie Mithoefer, B.S.N., Alex and Allyson Grey, David Nichols, Ph.D., Franz Vollenweider, M.D., Ralph Metzner, Ph.D., and Annie Oak, Mariavittoria Mangini and Carolyn "Mountain Girl" Garcia of the Women's Visionary Congress.

I use LSD and Magic Mushrooms as a way to find peace within myself already and its good to hear that this use is being discussed. I wish I could use my freedom of religion to use them legally but I dont think that will ever happen. I never have bad trips thanks to a strong mind and a desire to learn in the setting that I place myself in before the trip. I walk alone or with friends through the woods and try to get closer to the world and find my place.

Hey sup blogboard! I used to have the worst panic attacks. I was on paxcil and xanax, wich did help me but i got sick of not having feelings and breaking out in sweats. So I traded that for canibis and it works for me so good with little side effects. I was on paxcil for like allmost 3yrs. When i got off the paxil I decreased my doses and medicated with cannibis and im no longer on xanax becuase hate the with drawl, not that hard to get get addicted with such easy accsess stright from my doctor. I did not choose drugs for kicks i just wanted to be able to walk out in public with out feeling like i was dying and pass out in public, very scary and embarising. I did go on a mushroom trip and it was beutiful and enlightining for me it help me look at the world and univers in a conected way and were i fit in , and i laughed alot . Im not advicating the shrooms but im saying it helped me. There is a chance could of ended up having a bad trip, but the whole trip was great for me.

Yes shrooms are known to increase anxiety, however thats only applicable when taken by a person who's normal but when taken by someone who already from anxiety disorder shrooms can be effective in counteracting that effect thus getting rid of anxiety, lsd which has similar effects to shroom was studied by scintist i believe in the 60s although citations may be rquired to confirm the exact time frame but acid was bringin positive feedbacl in treating schizophrenia, but when you have pharmacutical companies producing deadly formulated chemical substance to fight off anxiety and other mental disorders it is unlikely that our corporate controlled government will allow such substances like shrooms and acid to be legalized which are cheap to produce (acid is measured in micrograms which means a small lab can supply all of our nation) or free or easily cultivated (shrooms usually grow wild but it is possible to cultivate indoors) which falls into the same category as marijuana and thats why it is hard to get these substances on the road to legalization
