No Vote on Dispensary Regulations Bill in Colorado
Fri, Mar 05, 2010 5:47 pm
Outrage from medical marijuana activists and law enforcement officials alike led to Colorado lawmakers’ decision to put off their vote on House Bill 1284.
The bill in question would require all Colorado dispensaries to obtain a license from both local and state governments. However, the bill’s sponsor cited an addition to the measure that would allow dispensaries to operate for-profit and relax advertising constraints as an attempt to “strike a balance between tight regulations and reasonable accommodations.”
Generally speaking, law enforcement organizations believe the bill will legitimize dispensaries, which will lead to misuse of the dispensary system. Marijuana activists, on the other hand, believe the bill is unconstitutional and could make it more difficult for patients to acquire medicine.
The bill also allows local governments to ban dispensaries – a major sticking point with medical cannabis supporters.

I believe the beautiful Sovereign State of Colorado is serious about protecting the rights of their citizens and what is wrong with that?
that is what we need more of here in California, I am very unhappy with the way the politicians are so out of touch with the voters here, by the way I would love if somebody could tell me which California candidates are medical cannabis friendly so that I can vote for the right candidate. I was looking at medical cannabis friendly candidates and they are not being very clear about the issue or they don't want to talk about it, Governor runners
Carly fiorina,Chuck Devore and Tom Campbell I heard Chuck Devore is completely against medical cannabis and Carly Fiorina does not want to talk about it, I read somewhere that Tom Campbell is the right person and would not be biased against medical cannabis, what ever can someone please let us know if you know where the candidates stand? we need to elect the right people to represent the people not the feds, thanks high times.

Martin Luther King advocated civil disobedience, once upon a time not too long ago MLK had black people go into "white only" restaurants, at that time that was civil disobedience towards "unjust laws", they had every right to be served and break the law BECAUSE IT WAS AN UNJUST LAW !!!
As it is today, the marijuana laws are UNJUST. The laws made against marijuana were originally based on racism also, Harry J. Anslinger was a hardcore racist against blacks and hispanics and always repeated, in his words "marijuana caused colored men to desire white women".
The laws against minorities were evil back in the early to mid 1900's, just as marijuana laws are unjust and evil towards EVERYONE today. Blacks fought hard and sometimes broke the law to gain their rights, we who use marijuana should if necessary pattern ourselves after the black people who fought discrimination and Jim Crow Laws, by hardcore activism , such as pot festivals , rallies, gathering on the steps of City Hall and State Capitols displaying herb. This would work if the numbers would show.
