Having been a victim of warrantless,overzealous,girl scouts seeking merit badges for their spiffy little outfits-I know how they operate and watched them take the stand under oath at pre-trial hearings to conviction lying through their teeth and getting a conviction even though any logical person, ESPECIALLY a judge should've been able to see right through the BS and dismiss the case. They probably should've at the least been demoted and disciplined for perjury and had every one of their previous cases and testimony reviewed. I learned some costly,yet valuable lessons from it all. I'll never again underestimate the dark side of human nature-from crooked,lying L.E. officials & nasty prosecuters and judges to jealous,spiteful snitches and the logic that drives them to rat. I'm disgusted with anyone involved in attacks on people because of their involvement with weed in most instances whether or not most people assume "they asked for it"etc. The fact is that we're easy pickings for those who have no heart or choose a paycheck and ignore their conscience upholding unjust laws. As long as we keep electing people who support the practice of bleeding pot users dry with fines,bail money,property seizures,court fees,lawyer fees and funding of jails and correctional staff,K-9 teams,the companies that provide goods related to detecting and attacking my beloved cannabis,etc.-their BS will continue. TR420, right on! It's true.In Montreal, a grow-op in October 2009 was the "victim of arson",....gee. And the POLICE had to go in and investigate.
I now question EVERY news story that states there was an explosion, a ballast malfunction, outright fire, .........yah, right! It's the latest crap shoot for the cops when it comes to your crops!

It's good to see other people who can see this as most likely bullshit. I'm from NJ, actually one of the towns where one of the houses was busted, and the local coverage got most people simply believing it. There are a couple of things that don't add up though:

- They spent that much time and effort pretty much in hiding, stealing electric, cooling the house and taking every step possible to hide the bust but their stupid enough to throw a shitload of weed in a fireplace?

- Okay, what if they were that dumb. Have you seen the pictures? The house they busted is set back pretty damn far off the road...yet the cop sniffed it out to the exact location? lol get the hell outta here.

- They've said it could have ran for two years if not more undetected. It was busted by a rookie cop 23 years old. I think it's more likely he knew them before becoming a cop.

I don't think High Times will probably run updates on it, but I think the police were becoming concerned about it possibly being an unreasonable search as well and came out in court saying the one dude had offered them $200k in cash to let them go.

This all sucks but my favorite part? The largest bust being by a rookie cop just makes the DEA look like jackasses.

THAT'S MOST LIKELY "BULLSHIT", the officer most likely did some illegal searching and found other reasons to bust these people, smoke coming out of a chimmny would float upward and would disappear within seconds. The officer must haave done some peeking in windows to know what was really going on, and that's a illegal search.
And how could he search 6 houses when only one was burning stuff. Too many holes in this story, so it's most likely "BUTTSHIT". Someone made this one up.
