BREAKING NEWS: Charges Dropped on HIGH TIMES Freedom Fighter Eddy Lepp After Feds Seize 32,512 Pot Plants

Judge Marilyn Hall Patel, of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, has ruled to drop all charges against Charles Edward “Eddy” Lepp stemming from a 2004 raid of his Lake County, California property, on the grounds of an invalid search warrant.

Lepp told HIGH TIMES, “This motion should have been turned in the day after my arrest and it all should have been over within thirty days.”

The raid netted 32,512 marijuana plants, the largest bust of its kind in the United States, with the ensuing legal battle earning Lepp the HIGH TIMES Freedom Fighter of the Year Award at the 2004 Cannabis Cup.

After starting off with powerful attorneys Dennis Roberts and then Tony Sera, Lepp eventually fired them both for refusing to file a motion using the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) as a defense. Four months ago, the court appointed him Assistant Federal Public Defender Shawn Halbert, who immediately requested permission to resubmit all previous motions along with a motion on RFRA. Evidence of the faulty search warrant was on the top of the stack, and witnesses claim Patel took less than fifteen minutes to drop all charges.

Lepp told HIGH TIMES that the warrant used to raid “Eddy’s Medicinal Gardens” had only his name, the judge’s name, and the property address on it. The reason for the raid and the descriptions of the property were both glaringly missing.

Lepp still continues to face charges stemming from the February 2005 raid of nearly 7,000 indoor plants on the same property, but he remains confident, again on the grounds of procedural error. According to Lepp, the photos of outdoor plants that were used as due cause turned out to be on his neighbor’s property. Also, the wiretap that provided the evidence of a sale was finally released, revealing a DEA Agent saying into the tape that Lepp had left and was heading down California Highway 20, and then counting out $2,500 dollars. No mention of a sale and no police paperwork from the day of the recording points to Lepp possessing marijuana, much less selling it.

The hearing for the 2005 raid will take place on January 9th at the San Francisco Federal Court House, with Judge Patel once again presiding.

Bob and Mike already got paid a visit by 5 masked gunmen. They took the30 LB's of weed that Bob and Mike were supposed to pay to people like me who gave them $1500.

So those morons sat on the weed because they harvested late and couldn't get $$3200 a pound when I could have moved it all day long here in Marin but they wouldn't sell it for $3000.

So obviously they ripped everybody off and someone got pissed off and went up there and seen them. Remember that Kid you took 4 grand cash that I brought up there, his name was Richie .Funny huh I read in the police report on lakesheriff.com that one of the gunmen's name was Richie.

The bottom line is Mike and Bob had a chance to pay the people they owed money to but chose to try and be stingy greedy scumbags who's only intention was to beat the people that helped them finacially. I've seen fifty-thousand dollar rip offs in the straight corporate world. The top guy just dissolved the company and took off with the cash in one instance. I lost a little but others lost all they had. That’s fucked up.

I've seen $50,000 rip offs in the hard drug world too. One time the guy's partner split with the coke money and left a really cool car behind. My man sold the car to me cheap. That was still fucked up too.

A tweaked version of the Firefox browser that makes Web browsing anonymous has been released.
Every few minutes, the Torpark browser causes a computer's IP address to appear to change. IP addresses are numeric identifier given to computers on the Internet. The number can be used along with other data to potentially track down a user, as many Web sites keep track of IP addresses.
The browser is free to download at http://www.torrify.com/ It's a modified version of Portable Firefox that can be run off a USB (Universal Serial Bus) memory stick on a computer.
The Torpark browser sends data over The Onion Router, a worldwide network of servers nicknamed "Tor" set up to transfer data to one another in a random, obscure fashion.
One minor downside is that surfing with Torpark is slower than with a typical browser over the same connection.
A test of Torpark using a computer in London employed IP addresses of servers registered in Berlin and Madison, Wisconsin.

Yes, you are wrong... Hemp is not marijuana at all, it has no "high" of any kind, dried or otherwise, also, it is illegal to grow hemp in most parts of the world.

Marijuana(slang term for the potent form of cannabis) on the other hand does get you high, and is also illegal world wide.

The facts are that I paid 10,000 grand cash to thses mother fuckers and after they got last years crop taken by the sheriff, they promised to repay this year with this harvest. Then I waited patiently for about 14 months out all that money and they swore they would repay when they harvested this year. then guess what, they harvested all that weed and wouldn't pay a fucking dime. let's talk about the shadiness of dealing with an illegal item like marijuana, all the scumbags come out of the woodworks to commit all kinds of heinous acts. Here I had a business deal with a guy, who promised me this this and that. swore to me he was all legal, showed me he had all the paperwork, and still managed to fuck that up. then after i waited a year, all while I wanted to go out there and rip his head off and shit down his throat and the only reason I didn't was because he swore to someone I know that he would pay us back so we could at least recover something.

So he harvested all this weed this november and then wouldnt pay anyone shit. then wouldnt even sell any because he couldnt get more than $3000 a pound because he harvested soo lhate and that is why some fools went up there and robbed them, and I hoipe people contniue to do so because they are shady scumbags who use other peoples names that are prop 215 to grow outrageous amounts of marijuana . Dude, was it in a house or a factory? 32,000 seems like you would need a large work force. I guess 100 plants is not enough? I support high times and all but this 32,000 plants seems not to be a truthful artical. An outdoor farm that large would yeild 1500 pounds of marijuana and like I say would require a large work force.. let me guess, these people give it all away right?
