In places like Amsterdam I doubt they will ever talk seriously about anything like that, because the city benefits greatly from the weedtourists.
I do have to say that many of the people working in coffeeshops, nead to find another job, because they shouldn't work in the service sector if they dislike people so much as many of them obviously does.
A great advice to all those going to Amsterdam for the first time. When you get there, you will find alot of headshops, or stores where they sell smoke gear. My advice to you is, if the person working there is not dutch, but from pakistan or where they are from, then you should not go in there and spend money, they WILL rip you off and smile in your face as they do it. They live of the fact that many tourists get so stoned they forget to think about prices and quality, and in their shops those things do not go hand in hand.
Example an Iolite butane Vaporizer, I asked in one "mob shop" and the smiling kid said "200 euro, for you my friend just 200 euro!" Then I left and went in another store, where the guy I asked said 175 Euro, so 25 euro difference, then I went to the next shop where the guy from the first shop came rushing in and said something in a weird language to the other guy working there, and now the price was 250 Euro. LAter on my trip I asked for the price on a New Ways Glass vaporizer pipe to use in my hotel, the smiling guy in the "mob shop" said that one is 15 euro. Then I checked in another "mob shop" where the price had now gone up to 40 Euro. Then I went in to a true dutch headshop, where the same type of New Ways Glass Vaporizer pipe was cost me 7,50 Euro, so I bought two, and decided to tell as many people as possible that they shouldn't spend as much as a cent in the "headshops" in Amsterdam, if the people working there are from Pakistan or India or where they are from, as I said they will rip you off.
Other than that just enjoint the most awesome city in Europe!

We also now do the HIGH TIMES Medical Cannabis Cup. This will be an annual event held in California. We are considering also holding a HIGH TIMES Medical Cannabis Cup in Colorado in the future.

CAN AN AMERICAN GO AND MOST IMPORTANTLY CAN WE EVEN ENJOY THE SAMPLES IF IT IS TECHNICALLY NOW ILLEGAL FOR FOREIGNERS TO GO INTO THESE SHOPS AND PURCHASE POT??
I MEAN WHAT'S THE POINT IF YOU CAN'T?
